The title says it all really, but I hope its mad in a good way ........ well most people on here know I'm a little bit mad anyway :evillaugh:
I've always liked to believe in the afterlife, spirits of those you've lost staying close etc etc, but I've never experienced it.
A few weeks ago, I heard a noise upstairs, now I was on my own, Poot was downstairs as I'd just given him his dinner, and I heard a noise exactly the same as the noise Max used to make when he yawned, it was quite distinctive. It was so loud I turned around almost expecting to see him, but of course he wasn't there :(
Then 2 days ago, I came upstairs, and squeaky mouse was inside the crinkle tunnel, with nobody nearby, again Poot was nowhere near it, and the mouse started squeaking, all on its own :-: It can't have been a floorboard as I wasn't standing anywhere near it!!!!!
And last night when me and Poot were playing on the stairs, he stood bolt upright looking at the window ledge where Max used to sit, and scarpared, but of course again nothing there.
I wonder if these are little signs from Maxy to let me know he's still around? I've dreamed about him a few times which I think is one of his ways to tell me he's fine :Luv:
Or, am I just losing the plot even more than before :evillaugh:

You aren't going mad. I don't see why Max wouldn't let you know he was still around. ;)
-
Max is watching over you and Poot to make sure you are both getting on and are OK ;D
-
Glad peeps here are backing me up, J thinks its wishful thinking, but I reckon he's about, and I also reckon he's teaching Poot a few of his tricks as well, as he's started scratching the wardrobe, just like he used to :sneaky: :Luv:
-
Don't think you're going mad, I think you're very lucky
-
aww
Byron behaved strangely for a while after Schui left us which had me wondering too :Luv:
-
Definately Max letting you know he is still around and watching over you and Poot :Luv2:
-
Apparently spirits come into our dreams to give up messages etc....I think that when love has been so strong there will be traces of that love all over the place....He has certainly left his mark thats for sure!

No you're not going mad(der)!! Clare.
I believe but have never had proof. I sometimes think it's my imagination but themn other times I think there must be something there. Bonnie never sleeps on the pilllownext to me where Smudge slept for 13 years and sometimes I wake up and the pillow is warm or I can feel Smudge has been there.
It doesn't matter if it's real or not if it makes us feel good.
Mary

That's very true
Even the thought that they're still around is hugely comforting :Luv:

I think thats a lovely story Clare & no way mad at all. It is a gift given to you to give comfort & love. I hope now you will feel that.
My cats can sense 'goings' on in my house & I like it, but there again I am psychic & completely maaaaad!

Thank you hunnie
I think I've been so busy trying to rationalise what it may or may not have been, I think I should just be happy that I think I've felt him around :Luv2:

I agree with everyone Clare, you are not going mad, and I told you Max would stay close to you in his own special way. And there he is... :Luv:  :)

I think I have said this before but OH and I are both cynics but have both seen "ghost cat" several times. I sometimes have a nap in the attic bedroom and sometimes feel the thump of a cat landing on the bed - sometimes even that feeling you get when a cat is washing itself next to you on the bed :shify: (I take no illicit substances :evillaugh: )
-
That must be a very strange feeling Mark, feeling the thud and nobody being there?!
Pretty amazing though :)
-
I remember when my fil died, we went over for the funeral and oh and I were sitting alone on the first floor and we heard his dad cough downstairs (he had a rotton smokers cough)
-
Course you're not mad , Max loved his mum and is just checking shes OK!
