Well the time has come all too soon for me to write my tribute to Nina. I sometimes can't find the strength to read others tributes to their furbabes so don't know how to write one for my one and only furry soulmate.
It was 4 years ago when we saw the small advert in the local paper for a local rescue who had lots of cats, sure enough we went down there and it was a small room in the basement of a charity shop (not a great place). And there she was, sitting in one of the pens with a snooty expression waiting to be taken away to the life the deserved. They told us it was the second time she had been in there due to her first owner dying and then her next home falling through. It was love at first sight. We took her home that day.
She sang to us all the way home in the car so we called her Nina Simone :Luv: Today on her last journey to the vets she had come to know so well she never made a sound and we knew it was time to go.
Oh we have had a fabulous 4 years together full of laughs and love, she has always been an angel (apart from marching all over us in the middle of the night) :)
She was the leader of our furry trio, she kept Kiki and Gibson in order (not to mention her mummy and daddy)
Everybody will miss her so much, all of our family and friends are devastated, she had such a fantastic character everybody who met her loved her.
My darling little fatty,
Me and daddy miss you so much already, he wants to tell you he is sorry the last month he has had to give you all those tablets, we just desperately wanted the best for you.
Please try to send us a rainbow when you can baby, so we know you are safe at Rainbow Bridge. We were so worried that we had made the wrong decision but please know that we never wanted you to suffer and be in pain.
We promise to look after Kiki and Gibson for you and keep an eye on the neighbours like you used to :shy:

No rainbow from Nina but yesterday I was driving along and saw the sun breaking through shining through the clouds, just as I was thinking how beautiful it was a shower of lovely golden, brown leaves fell onto my car. No others fell, just enough to cover me and my car :Luv: I had to pull over and have a little cry, not tears of sadness though.
I still miss Nina terribly but it is getting easier with time, she is home now in a beautiful wooden casket and has her favourite spot by the fireplace.
Still love you and miss you little fat one
