I dont have too many details but Bengalbabe Linda has had a devastating housefire. They and the cats are okay as far as I know although a couple of her cats are in the vets
Please join me in sending her love and best wishes and just to let her know we are thinking of her xxx

That's one of my worse nightmares. Hopefully those that are in the vets are okay and everyone is okay.

I think another forum is starting a collection to help Linda and Kevin out for the basics as insurance will take a while to kick in. I've sent her an email but she won't get it for while.

I have just read on the Bengal Forum that sadly Linda lost one of her furbabies to the fire and another one is very poorly.
I have copied the post below - so so sorry Linda x
Unfortunately, as a result of the house fire which occurred on Thursday, Linda has lost one of her cats. Supernova Faith was in the part of the house that was worst affected by the fire along with 4 other cats and the family dog. The fire fighters did a superb job of reviving them but it was just too late for Faith. Minerva (another Bengal) is in a poorly state at the vets but the other 3 cats and the dog are (thankfully) recovering.
Linda is obviously devastated by the loss of Faith and the uncertainty of Minerva’s future. Most of you will know Faith and will have followed her updates in the gallery. For those who don’t remember her I’ve added some links below:

Linda is overwhelmed by all the support that she has had from her friends on both this forum and the other forums that she uses and wants to say a huge “Thank You” to everyone for their support and well wishes. She is in temporary accommodation at the moment but hopes to have a permanent residence by the middle of next week and she will be taking her queens and their current litters with her. She’s received lots of offers of accommodation for her remaining cats and is currently working on getting them relocated to their new ‘temporary’ homes.
It saddens me deeply to think about poor Faith and Minerva and I can’t begin to imagine how Linda is feeling. I’m going to go and give all my babies a big cuddle…as Sue said; this could happen to any of us.

I got a message back from Linda. They're at her sisters. I've passed on everyone's thoughts and love. If I hear more I'll let you know. I am sure Linda will be in touch with others at some point if she hasn't already. I am beyonds words at what she and her family have suffered. :'(

What a horrible thing to happen :( My thoughts are with Linda and her family and I'm hoping Minerva pulls through. One of my worst fears is a house fire while I'm out nd the boys being trapped indoors.

Words fail me I'm afraid.
It's our worst nightmare and the fact that she's lost one of her furbabies is too horrible for words.
All our problems seem so stupid when you read this.

Such terrible news and one of my nightmares, at least evacuating everyone from the house is, OH always moans I have too many cat baskets but I am always terrified of having to get everyone out in an emergency.

What a terrible, terrible thing to have happen. Linda you are in my prayers. So sad to hear of your losses. As others have said, if you and your family (two and fourlegged) are OK then that is a blessing. But to lose Faith, and for poor Minerva to still be recovering - that must make this so hard for you. :hug: :hug:

Another update
Spoke to Linda last night ..more good news ..1 of the 4 girls at the vets has been discharged & the other 3 inc Minerva can be discharged as soon as Linda is settled in her temp home
Linda sounded much much brighter
My hubby is on his way to Linda's today to help sort the cats into their temp homes

I have fabby news to share :)
Linda is now in her temp home & has the girls who were at the vets & Mums with bubbas home with her
Linda's other cats are now happily settled in their temp homes
Linda sounded the brightest she had for days when i spoke to her yesterday
