I couldn't find the original post but still no sign of Munki and it's 7 weeks on Monday!
We don't know what else we can do. We've been out at silly o' clock several times and no sign!
Any suggestions would be appreciated...

I'm sorry Munki hasn't come home. I gave up on the practical search for Lilly after about 4 weeks as I couldn't face it any more and there had never been any real response from adverts. It's been almost 6 months now and still doesn't seem to have gotten any easier not knowing what has happened (and I still check rescue sites just in case for some reason she is in a rescue and hasn't been scanned for microchip). I just hope that she will be one of the microchip success stories and will turn up some day......okay, I haven't much hope in that outcome but it does happen.
So, not much practical advise I'm afraid just another

So sorry to hear Munk is still not home with you.
I had a cat, Angus, disappear one night, completely out of charachter, a few years ago. Of all of mine I would have said he was the one who stuck closest to me, and would never leave home. He was a real mummy`s boy and slept on the bed all day long, only going out for an hour or so at a time.
5 months later, 2 days before Christmas, I had a phone call from the RSPCA. He had been living in an old lady`s garden for most of the time, and she was putting food out for him as she thought he had a home locally and was just visiting her. I had moved about 6 weeks before so he hadnt been out for long, and prob lost his bearings as to where home was.
She couldnt see well and didnt realise he had a collar and tag on. One day he was very quiet, so she got a friend to look at him and they realised he was very ill, so called the RSPCA, who advised them to take the collar off and ring me. I shot round there pdq.
He was thin, flea ridden and ill with a kidney infection. He made it through the holidays, and was with me till he died of kidney probs (prob bought on by his being ill and not treated promptly) a few months ago.
Please dont give up hope, Angus just proved to me it can come true for everyone.
