thanks they need to go to the vet soon now nibbles is now as soft as they come
but samson although he comes to me whenever i stand up and meows and rubs
against me and loves to be stroked he still doesn't like being held i can pick him up
to put him on a chair or the bed but if i try to hold him he kicks with his back legs
to get down. i supose well get there in the end. he has come a long way in the
last few months from hiding under the bed but we are dreading taking him to the
vet but he needs to go for his jab's. any advice welcome.

Aw bless, some cats never really accept being held so that you may never get to happen, I think you have done really well with him so you are doing great! ;)
Cats tend to act differently at the vets, they almost act the opposite to what you think they would, vets also have lots of techniques for giving jabs etc so I really wouldnt worry about it.....The joys of being a cat slave are many! :evillaugh: :Luv:
Does he go in the carrier ok? :shify: I always leave a couple of mine out all the time with the door off for easy access, that way the cats have no fear of them! ;)
