Title: Now Wipe Your Paws
Post by: LeighK on August 03, 2009, 15:59:18 PM
In a desperate attempt to curb the amount of cat litter being trodden (mostly by Frankie) around the flat I have put up the following sign next to the litter tray.

And I'm sure they will pay as much attention to that as the ones that say ... "Stay off the worktops" .. and "Don't scratch the furniture"

Actually that would be a result if I could just contain the cat litter to a two foot radius of the tray and not distributed liberally throughout the entire flat!   ;D

Now I thought it was part of Cat Lore that cats have to propitiate the God of Cat-litter by sprinkling granule offerings all around the house and pouring libations of "pee" down the back of the tray as often as possible!  :evillaugh:

I've no idea what you're all going on about - I thought all cats wiped their paws - My Bonnie does.

AND MY NOSE HAS JUST GROWN 6 INCHES

Seriously though, she must do something cos I never have litter on my carpet.

I find them in the oddest places

And why is it they seem to like doing it just after you have cleaned the trays and swept up all the bits?

Turtle Mat actually make one that says "Please wipe your paws"  :evillaugh: http://www.turtlemat.co.uk/Pet-mats-dog-mats/

This has given me an idea. I might try a turtle mat in front of a tray and see if it helps.

If so, there is a cheaper but still 100% cotton version called dirt trapper and I will get those. It won't work for Alice as she always sprints front the tray  :tired: (The same cat that hobbles around like an old lady  :evillaugh:)
