I saw it on petsupermarket. It sounds similar to worlds best as it's flushable - recommended for long haired (or in my case, kylies belly hair :evillaugh: )
£7.99 for 10L
£14.99 for 20L
If you buy 40L, you get a free scoop. It sounds expensive but maybe it lasts? - It's cheaper than worlds best I think?

We have it and we also have some of the Electric litter trays.

I use this occasionally. It is similar to Worlds Best but I find it tracks a bit more and sometimes sticks a bit to the bottom of the tray. Overall though I think it is great, no smelly tray and clumps well. I think it is cheaper too.

I did try the original cats best - but like Debbie found it tracked something awful!!! but I havent tried their new one - its like wood pellets, but clumping yes? Sounds interesting, let us know how you get on with it if you decide to try it.

I found a jollyes (after an hour and a half of being a bit lost) and they looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for it - someone said they sell it there but i cant remember who now - maybe just not in that one :(

£20 for litter :Crazy: - I honestly do spend more on the cats than myself! ;D

You could probably order chick crumbs online too - search poultry sites - in fact I think I'm gonna try that! Would be nice to get it delivered - coz its quite heavy! - mind you, then you've got delivery charges hmmmm!
Cheese, I can't understand why your Jollyes doesnt stock it - don't they have any stuff for poultry/birds? layers pellets etc? In my Jollyes they have the chick crumbs in sacks, but also loose in big drums, like some of the other animal foods.

Helen I got my chick crumbs from Widmer Feeds at Loosley Row near West Wycombe (I think you are quite nearby if not please ignore!!)

Thanks Dawn, that's probably about 40 miles from me so a bit far! I'm catless at the moment since losing Tiggy so just thinking about it for the future. Let us know how you get on with the crumbs ;D

Hi Helen, sorry I hope I didn't upset you, I did know about Tiggy but wasn't sure if you had any thoughts about taking on anyone else who needs your help! I know when we lots our little Bluto who my husband had had since he was 4 weeks old we couldn't bear the silence!

No Helen, layers pellets are, well exactly that, really, little pellets - look a bit like the wood based cat litter pellets - you know? The chick crumbs are very fine grains.
Don't anyone make the mistake of getting layer's mash - that is the consistency of flour - think that would be an awful mess in the litter tray when it got wet :evillaugh:

I have considered chick crumbs but after i had so much aggrivation with them weeing and pooing everywhere a few months back I am VERY hesitant at changing from worlds best even though my last purchase on litter was nearly 80 pounds ....AM I MAD !!!!!!!!

I use Bio-Catolet, don't know one other person who uses it though.

No of course you didn't upset me Dawn. I will be a cat Mum again one day, I'm away for two weeks at the end of April (Bangkok/Phuket/Koh Yao Paradise Island & Cambodia - the hardship!) so it will be after my holiday. I've got too much love to give to keep it all to myself, doesn't change the way I feel about Tiggy - she was and will always be my special girl :Luv:
I may well try chick crumbs if your reports are good! I never tried Tiggy with it as she had always used fullers earth from the age of 4 weeks (dumped on a skip) to almost 19 years old so didn't want to risk upsetting her routine.

Sarah, I have used Bio-Catalet in the past, wasn't too keen on it though, but was given it when I fostered mum and kits so it was soft on the kits paws.

Gillian - well it looks like I've been using chick crumb all along without even knowing!! the stuff I've been buying of ebay for 12.95 a bag, + VAT + £8.95 postage!!!!!!!!!! its exactly the same stuff and I paid £7.95, I can't believe it, still at least no trouble with the change over!! Helen the holiday sounds fantastic!

So that means they are packaging chick crumbs and selling them as cat litter then? Sounds like it doesnt it? Well someone saw a chance to make a bob or two didnt they? - cheeky devils :sneaky: (wish I'd thought of that :evillaugh: )

i think its just that wbcl etc basically is corn hence the eco friendly biodegradable etc and corn crumbs is what chicks eat hence the chick crumbs.
