I have been trying to catch a little black cat who we have called Indie who we think is in the family way - she comes in to the house and would still be here if Peanut hadn't chased her out yesterday teatime
So last night I set the trap duly baited with Applaws tuna and seaweed and hoped we would have Indie this morning - on checking the trap at 05.30am - bright and sunny we discover a tabby boy in the trap - we had never seen him before and he was very calm so I said I would take hime to the vets to get checked for a Chip - no such luck so today he had his bits removed, ear mites cleaned from waxy ears, 38 Tics removed and had his Boosters, Programme and an ID Chip oput in also Advocate for good measure - he is now in the downstairs study feeling a mite sorry for himself cuddling a catnip sac
He is a lovely tabby and doesn't seem to freaky and we have called him Sam and have decided he is staying!!!!!!!! ;D
-
my goodness, Sam has had a day to remember
he won't see it as his lucky day, but we know it's all that and more
-
Well done Liz and am sure Sam will love you for this when the winter comes
-
Congratulations Liz ... I'm sure Sam (fabulous name ;) ) will soon thank you for removing the ticks, earmites, fleas and other nasties ... not sure if he'll be so forgiving for losing his other "bits" quite so quickly  but I'm sure after a few more tins of applaws and some extra catnip cushions he'll realise all the excitment was worth it in the end.
BTW - good luck in catching Indie ... I'm sure she'll be back soon
-
pleased to hear there is another lucky enough to land with the clan liz! fingers crossed you manage to pin down Indie soon!

Am I the only one who giggled reading that? The poor old stick... I bet he'll never touch tuna again! Good on you though. Lets hope he realises soon that you actually did him a favour. :naughty:
-
bless him, I bet he hates you at the moment, he'll come around though!
-
I had a giggle too
I bet hes wondering what the heck has happened to him and wont go near a trap again in a hurry - glad he is safe and sound with you and the clan Liz xx

Well today Sam has refused to eat any food with fish in it - wonder why!
He is now sleeping in his litter tray and Robin felt so sorry for him he opened the kitten pen door to let him come out - he's a sucker for Tabby Amber eyes!
So currently Beijing is eating his food and he looks like another tabby in love with our Beijing - Jester our Christmas additon is the other she has a way that little Tortie hooligan one swish of her tail and she has devoted followers!
-
Well our camera shy boy finally stayed at ground level and let me take a piccie - as you can see he is a gorgeous tabby boy and very slowly allowing himself interaction with humans and of course he is already a a fully paid up member of the indoor crew!
Excuse the hair on the blind - never see it in daylight and fogot all our dark coloured cats do love to window watch the birds up in the eaves!
-
Oo! He's lovely! :Luv2: Dont all blinds, curtains etc come with fur on? :innocent: ;)
-
Sammy is lovely :Luv:
-
aww he gorgeous liz... :Luv2:
-
He is coming out of his shell very slowly at least he is now on the windowsill when we go to bed - prior to this he was doing a leap of death off the top of the wardrobe and landing on the floor or whoever was in the way when he landed!
-
He is very handsome ;D
-
Thought it was time for a Sammy update ;D
He has come on in leaps and bounds and has managed to be at the vet for his injection booster and his Program injection, he also now sits at the food bowls whilst we top them up and yesterday and today he let Robin stroke him for 5 minutes
I tried and he nearly shredded me - somehow I now think Daddy has another tabby follower
I'm obviously still n ot forgiven for getting rid of his bits and still have the Haematoma he caused 12 months ago when he tried to kill me
-

Ahhh glad he is doing well.
-
Thought this wonderful tabby feral boy could do with an update ;D
Sammy now attends the vet every six months for his booster and Program and he loves his chin rubs ;D
He is definitely a Daddies boy and waits for his Daddy coming home every week and even knows if it is a Thursday or a Friday and he now lets me tickle him under the chin and I can stroke him to so thats quite an advancement for our darling Sammy :Luv2:
-
Now thats my kind of cat.
-
Has he put on a teeny bit of weight Liz or do I need specs? :innocent:
He is definitely a very very handsome boy :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:
-
He was about 11 months old in the first pic and was very ill :( when I took that picture and he has now grown in to a gorgeous big hunky tabby boy he is also squishing himself up to try and hide behind the curtain as he hates the flash on the camera and please excuse me dirty windows but that is the cat room
-
Wow, isn't he looking good :Luv:
-
He's gorgeous :Luv:
