Heard a buzzing banging sound when I got in tonight and looked up to see the mother of all moths bashing into the light shade. The boys soon spotted it and were desperate to get it. It moved into the hallway and despite Lukey being rubbish at jumping/catching things (sorry Lu!) he quickly took up the best vantage point....

Riley, the bigger, stronger, faster, more athletic brother demanded Lu move....
Lu duly obliged.....
Riley then decided to try and stare it out...

He goes in for the strike and bashes the lampshade...
Mr Moth tumbles down....
Lu stunned me by beating Riley to the moth and got it!
What happened next was absolutely shocking - soft, gentle, sensitive baby Lu hissed and growled at his brother like he was a lion defending his antelope kill
Riley, so shocked at his baby brother hissing at him doesn't know what to do with himself and obeys Lu's command and watches keenly from the settee!
Lu devours the moth and looks ever so proud :)

What fab pics!
You just *have* to tell me where you got that screen from..... I could do with something like that to stop Samson from dashing out the front door when it's opened (we have a shared drive and careless neighbours so don't let him out that way).

:thanks: everyone, I was sooo proud of Lu :Luv2:

That's what mine is for, the boys are only allowed outside in the back garden which is catproofed. The hallway is really wide so was struggling with ways of blocking it off, ended up getting the screen which is a 5 panel shoji screen. I have a hook and eye at the top and bottom and when I go out pull the screen across and attach it to the wall - simples!
The 5 panel ones in the UK were a) really hard to find and b) really expensive so found a a German seller on ebay which was loads cheaper, they have a website too. Depending on how wide the hallway is you can get 3, 4 or 5 panel ones.

Thanks, I think a 3 panel would probably be sufficient for us.

Gwen likes moths! :evillaugh:
