That lives near us. He's a regular strolling up and down the street and I give him fuss whenever I see him. (I secretly feel a little sorry for him; poor old lad should be able to get in and out his home at his time of life.)
Anyway, was having a fuss and he headbutted my face. I noticed he smelt a little odd; not bad breath but overall. He also has a thinner chunk in the centre of his tail and I touched it to see if it hurt him - he moved his tail away from me but wasn't aggressive.
What could cause these things?

Maybe he's got bad teeth and/or kidney problems and its the saliva you can smell on his coat from where he's groomed himself? Don't know about the tail. Poor chap.

Yep. He's such a character, he's lovely. :Luv:

The aroma could be his own eau de tom?
