Whoops - we let Dougie Meowser out for the first time this weekend, have been escorting him around the garden and bringing him back in when he's tried to go too far afield. He saw our neighbour's cat and chased him off, but was about to follow him through the hedge so OH grabbed him and brought him inside.
Cue much yowling (Dougie, not OH :evillaugh:), bristling and wagging of tail. He went to sit on the stairs and my OH tried to fuss him - returning shortly afterwards with a bitten hand
Even though he's usually such a gentle chap there's no way I'd have tried to fuss him when he was so cross, but poor OH isn't quite so familiar with the "I am going to kill you" warning signs. He's cleaned his hand up with antiseptic hand wash, hopefully it won't become infected. They are both in the front room sulking now...Dougie is really in the doghouse!

I know I shouldn't laugh, but..... :evillaugh: Hope Dougie and your OH are on speaking terms again soon.
-
I think this one is going to take about 24 hours! There is complete silence in the front room...! :evillaugh:
-
Oh dear, hope they speak again soon :Luv2:
-
Poor Dougie, hope he hasn't hurt his gums :evillaugh:
-
It is funny how many people don't seem to read cat warnings.
-
Hope the stand-off has finished now and they are friends again ;)
My Mum never reads the warning signals with Max, I've told her time and time again when playing that if he starts swishing his tail, he's not in the mood for tummy tickles :evillaugh:
-
Oh dear Baggy!!
hope they soon make up again :)
-
Willow smacks her chops like she is tasting something. A little noise is the final warning. OHs friend said she didn't like Willow but if only she would have had several warnings. She also got nipped by Kylie - apart from Kylie's own warnings, ie tail flicking etc, I had already told her not to touch Kylie's back or tail but she thought she knew better :tired:
-
Ops, have they made up yet?
-
Not our gentleman Dougie!!!
Sounds like he is lovely with humans but where another cat is concerned he goes all territorial, we need some blinkers for him! ;)
Hope OH's hand isnt too sore, I have learned over the years how to identify their moods, some can still boggle me though so I am not yet fully cat litterate! :evillaugh:
-
Oh dear! Shoot me down in flames, but I think us girlies are better at reading body language in general. OH is just the same with The Munchkin- I can see when he's going to 'go' but OH doesn't until its too late. Hope they're speaking again soon!

Any news on the Incredible Sulk?
And more importantly... how's Dougie today!?! :evillaugh:
-
He probably thought he was being grabbed by the enemy :evillaugh:

:heeee heeee: :grouphug:

:evillaugh: You're all so mean!
Dougie is just fine today thanks, his gums seem unblemished! OH's hand seems to be healing up fine, but he commented it has been far too sore for him to stroke Dougie until this evening
It's been officially listed as an "unfortunate incident" now. In OH's defence, he's probably not experienced a major cat tantrum before - don't think he'll make the same mistake twice :heeee heeee:
