Title: Ozzys back and not looking great
Post by: Millys Mum on July 06, 2009, 20:53:52 PM
July 07 he first showed up and i could never get a collar on him although i expected him to be another dumped in the woods victim.
The last couple of weeks iv seen him at night a few times but he turned up at tea time looking awfully thin  :( i can see his ribs and hes a dirty grubby white.
The pic is of him in 07 when he was lean but healthy.

I can see now he has blue eyes and didnt respond to noise, whats the chances re blue eyed and deafness?
Still couldnt get near him but i will be making a good effort to get him before hes off again.

Gorgeous cat - fingers crossed and good luck.

A neighbour of mine used to have 2 white cats, Oscar had 2 blue eyes and Topaz had 1 blue and 1 green.  Neither of them were deaf.

Fingers crossed you can catch him and get him checked out. I would say the chances of being deaf are high except for the fact he has been straying for so long, I dont think a fully deaf cat would be able to survive that long in the wild.

When I found my RIP Gnarla, she was 15 and deaf and get this....the owners (who did'nt want her!) said that "she liked to roam"  >:(

So depending on the area its still possible!  :Luv:

Iv got within a few metres, its so frustrating  :tired: im sure he knows im after him now.
We are a quiet area so he may have just been lucky with cars, its the complete lack of response if his back is turned that makes me think he is deaf, doesnt bolt until he sees you comming.
If he wont let me befriend him then it will be out with the trap. They are rather trap smart round here tho, was never able to get o'malley in with his broken leg  :(
He's just waltzed past the window doing this  :heeee heeee: :heeee heeee:
