Title: Young cat we met on Saturday
Post by: Mark on July 06, 2009, 16:18:39 PM
This cat was in the garden where we had our lunch on Saturday (Rendezvous Cafe in Whitstable)

The waitress said it is a naughty cat and she doesn't like it  >:(

It was lovely  :Luv2:

:Luv: What a lovely cat - did it belong to the cafe?

No it belonged to the people in the flat above the shop next door. Hopefully one with no access to the high street as it is quite busy.

What a gorgeous little cat - & a rotten,  miserable waitress!!

When my daughter was very small we sometimes went into a cafe in a park for icecreams.

Her favourite sort of ice cream was a pink and white twist affair.

One day, in the cafe was a very cute ginger cat - it belonged to the people who ran the place and was very friendly.

My daughter adored cats (she still does) and disappeared UNDER our table to stroke the cat .... or so I thought ....

I could hear giggles and when I looked under the table - BOTH were licking the ice-cream  :evillaugh:

I pointed out, as much as one can to a 3 year old, that it wasn't the most hygienic thing to do

"Oh, its OK Mummy" said little Anne "Cos the the kitty licks the white bit and I'm eating the pink bit"

No arguing with that - was there ?

OOPS!  WRONG PARK!!!

It was Southchurch Park , still in Southend, and this was the cafe

(Well, it was over 25 years ago that the "ice cream" incident happened :shy:)

Edited to say Ive posted the wrong pic AGAIN!!  This is the right one .....

Looks like a nice park. I remember my mum's aunt Glad used to live in a nice part of Southend or near there called Thorpe Bay - I can't remember much about it though  :evillaugh:

Thorpe Bay was the place we used to go to swim  ;)  Many happy memories - and Thorpe bay Yachting club was a good place to hang around outside to meet people  :evillaugh:
