Title: Archie the Clan cats youngest is at the Bridge
Post by: Liz on July 01, 2009, 21:37:19 PM
0It is with a very heavy heart and tear laden eyes I announce the loss of Baby Archie from the Clan Cats

He came to us in August last year as some thing had been using him as a football and we knew he had brain damage but he was a playmate for Beijing and it made no difference to either of them in all things kitten

He died this evening with Robin and I in attendance at 20.57pm at our vets where it was discovered this afternoon tht Archie had abnormally enlarged kidneys and an ultra sound showed tumours everywhere - he had his ultra sound awake he was one of our nice ones!

So we made the very sad decision to let our baby go and he went peacefully and we are greatful for that and have another gaping hole in our hearts so soon after the loss of Saiilor in May

So god speed baby Archie of the Clan Cats no doubt he will be welcomed at the Bridge by all the Clan Cats before him - Toerag, Tiger, Haggis, Moose, Bertie, Hissy Holly, Gem and her kids Star, Cairo and Shanghai, Miss Gracie and Sailor and not forgetting their doggie brother Breeze

This is one of my favourite pictures of Archie taken with Ace and Blue always looking out for him and doing the big brother guarding

The bridge babes looked around their garden and found an empty place,
Then they looked down upon this earth and saw your loving face,
they put their paws around you and lifted you to rest,
their garden must be beautiful;  because they always take the best.

They knew that you were suffering;
they knew you were in pain,
And knew that you would never get well on earth again,
they saw your path was difficult;  and closed your tired eyes.
Then whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly.

When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain,  we would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again.
You've left us precious memories;  your love will be our guide.
You live on through your family,  you're always by our side.

It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you the day the Bridge called you home.

 :RIP:   Archie

It is always sad when they go but he was lucky to have you and the rest of your furbabes to love and care for him this last year. He didn't leave this world not knowing what it was to be loved.  RIP little one.

Well Archie its been a year and a day since you went to the Clan Cats at the bridge, both Mummy and daddy thought of you yesterday so many miles apart but joined in memories of our darling little boy who started life as the one nobody wanted but came to the Clan to be loved, wanted and always missed especially by Beijing your Doodle partner in crime who still looks behind her when I shout come on doodles

So time has passed and we have added to the Clan but you are still and will always be our Baby Archie of the Clan Cats

You gave him a great life and that's the most honourable show of love you can offer.  I am sure he appreciated every minute of it.  He looks so content on that bed.

Its nice to look back at Baby Archie my little purr monster all curled up on the bed with my 2 moost unhandlable ferals Blue and of course Ace who still look for him but both are living here at their own pace - Ace can now be found curled up on the bed when we are in it but no sudden movements!
