Had a call from Nicky a little while ago - a woman from Preston called her asking for "14 kittens for her grandchildren." Blatantly this has set alarm bells ringing and she's asked me to alert people to this lady.
We believe she's calling rescues who request a small donation and trying to get kittens to sell on for profit.
Please feel free to crosspost this on any animal sites you use.

Odd, eh?

not even subtle

very convincing :-:

Now now you cynical lot, perfectly possible she has 14 grandchildren. Could even have 7 of the darlings and doing the responsible thing by getting the kittens in pairs! :evillaugh:

Sounds like the ads I saw last year offering to take any kittens or pregnant cats in a sanctuary. I phoned the RSPCA who were not remotely interested. I suggested they are probably colecting kittens to sell and I was told there is nothing wrong with that as long as no cruelty is involved >:(
