"Lady" was found by a lady called Tina. "Lady" had been seen wandering around for 2 days in the castle Brom. area of Birmingham. Tina's vet refused to help so she took it to another vet, who took her in and were waiting on the RSPCA to pick her up.
Tina, in the meantime, was worried about the cat and began phoning rescues to see if anyone could help as the vet closed at 7pm yesterday and the RSPCA had, as usual, told the vet to let the cat go and then reluctantly said they may be able to get over and collect.
Anyway, cat described to me as 12+ with a distended stomach so suspected tumour. So, at 6pm yesterday I was driving to castle Brom to pick her up rather than depend on the rspca to rescue her.
In the meantime, the vet gave her a quick check over and said he can't feel a tumour. I phoned the Birmingham petsearch and Mary got back to me just after 10pm.
She has a mainly white cat on her books, lost from Aston (7 miles away) last december with no ears and a splodge of black on her back.

Wouldn't it be nice?
Anyway, lost cat is called Lady, so whatever the outcome that is now this ones name. If not claimed Lady will be going to Jill next week (and no doubt getting a new name!).
But in the meantime lets keep our fingers crossed!!

Beautiful girl - I hope her owners turn up.

Surely it must be one and the same cat? :crossed:

I spoken to the lady in Aston and it looks like a different cat. She tells me hers had no teeth. She is not on the internet so I will pop the photo in the post for her on monday.
Lady is proving to be an affectionate unflappable cat - she reminds me a bit of the ginger boy we had in that died last month in temperament. Shes penned up away from the others but I have snuck in a few fusses every so often!
-
aww shame it wasn't her cat but glad that Lady seems settled :)
-
Maybe the Aston lady would like a new cat, even if Lady isn't hers? :innocent:
She looks lovely - beautiful whiskers...
-
the lady in Aston tells me she is currently feeding about 10 cats. she seems to be a stray magnet. If it does prove to be Lady, she'll have her back like a shot but otherwise I don't think she can afford to keep another one as from what she was saying earlier the ones she has seem to be a motley crew.
-
Hmm, if she's already coping with 10 I can understand that! Sounds as if she's doing a grand job. Fingers crossed Lady might still be hers though :Luv2:
-
What a little darl;ing :Luv: having no ears adds to her charm and if i didnt have my quota already i would take like a shot :Luv2: fingers crossed her owners are found
-
Poor little lass. Hope she gets a good home one way or the other.
-
Aww, fingers crossed for her either way.
-
No luck finding owners.
Lady has now been put on our website.
The vet puts her at about 10 years old. Says shes been out for a while as she has not been cleaning herself.
Blood tests show that her kidneys are a bit dodgy so we are putting her on fortecor and offering to fund this for her life.......

awwww, I think she's gorgeous :Luv:
-
what a pretty girl :Luv: :Luv: she's gorgeours xxx

awww, I'm so sad about this, I really am :'( thanks for caring for her Angie
RIP sweetheart xx
-
So sorry to hear this Jill, thanks for stepping in to care for her with your specialist knowledge of special needs cats. Angie said she had seemed a little better yesterday too. :'(
When I saw her on Saturday she seemed to be quite settled, although I know Angie was concerned about her as she had become so thin. I guess all things point towards the cancer having spread to other places. :(
-
There is so much bad news at the moment, what on earth is going on ?
RIP Lady, play hard on the bridge baby girl.

Oh, no ! :'(
