Rosie is getting spayed on next wednesday , I cannot belive her previous owner never had her done just because she is a housecat :-: Will she be ok when she comes home ?
-
Spays are pretty routine - doesn't stop you being nervous, but it's unusual for there to be any complications. :)
-
I'm sure she'll be fine
-
She'll be fine, my little Gwynnie was hyperactive when she came home, though she would be subdued, but she was a little bundle of energy :evillaugh:

Here's a good tip for you, when she comes out of her op she will probably have a lamp shade on to stop her licking the wound...try your hardest to keep this on her for at least 5 days....better than having to take her back in to get re stitched! ;)
Im sure all will go smoothly! :Luv:

Hi Lisa,
I'm sure Rosie will be just fine

Good luck for next WEd, and ask if they will do glue rather than stitches
-
Thanks for all the replies :)

Hope she's ok hun!

Ask you vet to use glue and stitches under the skin and then she probablly wont even need a "lampshade" which is a lot less stressful for Rosie (and you) the healing time is a lot quicker too.
-
poor Rosie, good luck and hope it all goes well.

:thanks: everyone you all so nice :) :) :)
-
All the best for tomorrow Rosie xx

Thinking of Rosie today, She will be back in your arms before you know it! :Luv:

she went at 8.30 this morning and will be back after 3pm :( :thanks: bazmum for your thoughts
-
Try not to worry. I know it's hard (speaking from experience) but it has to be said cats do seem to bounce back from neuters or spays quite quickly.
