He was supposed to be getting done today but the vet called last night asking if we could put it back a day due to staff sickness. So he's off tomorrow instead. It's long overdue, I think a female is in heat somewhere because he is going crazy wailing and driving the whole house bonkers. Me and the OH have been sleeping in shifts most of the week to keep him off Baxter and poor Garfield hates really loud noises and is getting really stressed by all the racket.
I'm hoping everything goes well tomorrow, I know it's a very routine procedure but he's my baby and I will likely spend most of the day worrying about him.

good luck! you can't help but worry but it will be fine

Is it Basil that was in the rehoming section? Good luck!

I'm sure Basil will be ok

Nope not the same Basil, he was called Bubbles and I don't think that the fosterer was in a rush to have him homed, she was tempted to keep him. Basil had other plans though he wanted to go home with his buddie Baxter.

Positive vibes for Basil's op tomorrow....my two babies (now 10 months old) were sedated when they were done, it was a much quicker turn around and they were up to no good in no time! ;) :Luv:

Good luck for tomorrow
Hope Basil recovers quickly

Good luck for tomorrow, my boys have always been absolutely fine and racing about as soon as they get home again, the girls take a little longer to recover.

:luck: Basil :) I'm sure he'll be just fine Sheli

Just dropped him off now, he isn't a very happy chappy as he hasn't had anything since 7pm last night. He kept looking around for his biscuits and seemed disgusted that I wanted to go to bed without feeding him first. He was so naughty last night I didn't get a wink of sleep, he cried a lot and decided he had had enough of Baxter and tried to "mate" with Charley who wasn't impressed, he hissed for what must the first time in his almost 5 years. He ended up in bathroom so I could get some sleep but with Baxter sitting by the door crying because he was separated from his buddie and Basil crashing about(he brought down the shower curtain) and yowling I gave up and got Da mouse out...

Oh don't say that Daisy, I'm hoping he will be nice and sleepy so I catch up!

In a few days time you will be wondering what on earth you was worrying for  We are all the same.

He's back safe and sound. He looked a bit shell shocked and groggy at first and I expected him to take a nap but he opted for a bit of a wander and have some biscuits. Supposed to give him half rations tonight though so removed them and put down half a tin of applaws.

Glad it went well ;D
-
 pleased he's ok

Glad his op went smoothly! :Luv:

100% back to normal, he's been really cuddly tonight-racing between the OH and myself and managed to stay still on my knee for a whole 10 mins to get cuddles.
Only downside is that Baxter is terrified of Basil because he smells like the vet- he cried all day because his buddie was missing but now just keeps racing away everytime Basil gets close.
Thanks for all the good vibes, you can just never help but worry :)
-
See, what did we tell you - worrying for nothing
Poor Baxter, perhaps you could rub some of your clothes on Basil so Baxter will just smell you and not the vet.
