Title: Skye fell out of the bedroom window!!!
Post by: Topsy Turvey on June 17, 2009, 08:07:31 AM
We had someone coming to view the house so hubby was washing the windows inside and out.  Came back downstairs, heard a thump and saw Skye fly past the window!!

We brought her in and rang the vet who said to take her straight in!  So, she's got no broken bones, but has badly chipped a tooth.

Off to the vet again now so she can have her tooth removed!

Nightmare or what!!!!  Poor baby  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

:thanks: to you both.  Hubby has just left to take her to the vet, I couldn't bear to take her.

She fell from the upstairs window Yvonne.

Just caught up with this - I do hope Skye is OK

Dont blame yourself too much .... Chloe is 17 and erm - somewhat portly in places - but she still likes to go out of the window and along the window ledge, popping back in at the next window .... And we are at the top of a three storey block of flats  :scared:

Our window sills are now packed with "anti-Chloe" bric-a-brac ..... :tired:

Eeeeep, how scary. At the same time how amazing that she didn't do herself some serious damage. Someone must have been looking out for her  :Luv2:

Good luck with the vets

Smidgen flung himself out the bedroom window twice in rapid succession. After that I kept the window closed. He would race up the stairs, bound across the bed and then fling himself onto the windowsill - all right when the window was closed, but not when I opened it for the first day of spring sunshine (woops). The second time he gave himself a bloody nose, but otherwise was unharmed. Glad Skye is OK too. Give a hug from me. And lick from Smidgen and a cuff around the ears from Esther (who takes her maternal responsibilities very seriously even when it is not her kitten).

Oh dear, shame about the tooth, but glad it wasnt anything more serious.

One of mine did that once, little Corky when he was a kitten, was playing behind the curtains upstairs in my bedroom, windows open, suddenly the curtains stopped moving and I thought oh my god and could hardly bear to look out the window! Was pitch black anyway - so rushed downstairs, there he was just on his way back in through the cat flap - none the worse for wear, phew!  :)

She's home and not happy with us at all.  She hates the vet  :Luv2:

Back to the vet on Monday for a check up.

Misty fell from My Kitchen window and landed on concrete paving  :(
I think a seagull must have swooped on Him as they were nesting on the roof at the time
He had a skint chin and one of His canines looked cracked but He was alright considering
especially once he got back inside

Hope Skye is ok  :scared:

I nearly fell off my chair reading this heading!!!
I'm glad your darling is OK.

Years ago, I was living in an appartment on the 4th floor (5, depending on the way you count them)
I had a young persian that went missing
We found her in a corner off the garage in between the buildings. She was later diagnosed with a broken pelvis.
Under my kitchen window, there was this little concrete ledge. We guess she had landed there, had wanted to go back and had fallen, but of course we never knew.
The first vet said : leave her in a box for 3 months (3!!!!) I could not believe my ears. He said we could go to another vet that did X-rays, so we did, and it appeared the pelvis was broken not splintered. He said, leave it be.
Two days later, she ran and jumped!!! Strong creatures, cats!!

Your cat will be OK, hugs for you now, you must have been just too scared!
