Title: Furminator
Post by: Marcia on June 13, 2009, 18:34:19 PM
Does anyone use it and is it as good as people say it is?

I really want one but they're really expensive  :(

I have one and get on with it ok, some find it clumsy and heavy but it works ok imo. A decent comb will do the same job  ;D

i think it depends on your cats fur cos it was useless on misas cos its so thick and long, worked fine on the birmans although i felt it too too much out.

i prefer a comb with teeth at two lengths.

I've just been recommended another product called the Moult master which is apparently just like the furminator only cheaper  :)

I think i'll give it a try and see how well it works  :)

Was just looking at the Furminator and saw the following:

FURminator treatments are NOT recommended for the following breeds of cat: Balinese
Bombay, Cornish Rex, Devon Rex, European Burmese, Havana Brown, Javanese, Korat, LaPerm, Oriental, Ragamuffin, Singapura (Depends on coat), Sphynx, Tiffany-Chantilly, Turkish Angora, Turkish Van, York Chocolate.

Which rules out Teabag as he is a Tiffany-Chantilly
