It was on the news tonight...very sad
-
They should never have stopped the ban. It's awful and sooo very cruel. Breaks my heart all i think about is their pain they suffer. :'(
-
Of course in an ideal world i'd like to see all animal cruelty abolished (sorta cant see it ever happening but we must try) However whaling has been one of the things that has really affected and disgusted me to the core since i was a child. There really is no place in this world for it, we do not need their meat to survive and I live in hope and dream that I will see it abolished from every part of our planet in my life time.
-
We live in an awful world...man is the greatest threat to all >:(
I love these graceful animals.....they have enough to deal with never mind this! :(
-
I'm like you Lynn there are some things that really sicken me and Whaling is one of those things ... I think it's because of the barbaric-ness (is that a word??) of it all. They are such huge creatures and harpoons are so evil it makes me sick just thinking about it.
-
Well the harpoons only are a means to spear and tow the animal in to the boat, its then they are hacked to death which due to the size takes hours of chopping (no emoticon coz there isnt one appropriate)
-
I saw in "The Times" yesterday that the Japanese are ignoring the animals right groups and sending boats out. It said it is even worse this year as they will be hunting hump-back Whales which they don't usually :'( - It said it can take 1/2 hour for them to die an agonising death :'( - It said the boats are going out with large groups of well-wishers at the ports and even brass bands >:(
The animal rights groups are hoping to sabotage - we can only wish them luck and wish the hunters death and ill-fortune. >:(
-
It can take alot longer than half an hour, it can take longer than that to hack into their internal organs with the big whales :(
Yep lets hope the old saying "the wheels grind slowly but surely" is a true one :tired:
