Title: safe way to take paw signatures?

I would love my 2 sick old boys to sign a card for their dad with their front paws. What can I use that is both safe and I can get off afterwards quite easily, but will make a nice paw mark on a card? thanks.

Once did something similar with flour and water paste and a drop of food colouring  :)

Very messy but a nice, 3D effect.  I found it was best, whatever medium you try, to cut out the paw prints nd stick them to the ard - it avoids accidents and a messed up  card  :doh: ;)

I know people who have done paw prints with plaster of paris.  They looked really good x

at a craft fair a while ago there was a stall selling fingerprint jewellery - but they also did paw prints too which i thought were rather nice.  not that that helps you!!!

maybe kids craft products?  they tend to be mouth friendly  :)

AFAIK, Tan has them in the purrs shop (unless they have been discontinued?)

If you just want a print, maybe undiluted Ribena?

thanks, I've got the pawprint impressions off Tan at Purrs shop but this is just a paw signature on a greetings card. I used to use mud in the old days! It lasts quite well, but now we're in a flat. Food colouring or ribena sound not a bad idea, thanks - any idea how long that method would last though? It would be nice to keep the card (it's for OH) and be able to see it in some years' time. I'll defo use the paws on a separate sheet of paper and stick it on - thanks Wibblechick

Is water based paint a really terrible idea? I thought ink may be toxic. I have enough cat health problems as it is without creating any more  :-:

whatever you use, sure to fixate it afterwards, you can do that with hairspray

I was thinking of using kaminox as it's got iron in it and stains yellow on anything it touches, plus they are both on it! Not sure how long it would last though and what weird colour it may turn with hairspray on it, but it's worth a go - thanks.
