Title: Neighbours feeding cats! Again!
Post by: Judecat (Paula) on June 05, 2009, 22:22:47 PM
:censored: I keep telling Joan across the road not to feed the cats. I took photos last night cos they were quite amusing. Trouble scoffing chicken on her driveway with two magpies in attendance that he ignored completely

piccies sounds great but have you told her that she needs to stop feeding them? It's best for the cats that she stops.

Is she feeding your cats?  :-: That would drive me insane  >:(

Suggest she gets a cat of her own!

WADARS, the local rescue are desperate for people to life foster older cats. All medical costs paid, so I think I might suggest that.

It goes without saying that I would offer to feed when they are away, but next door, who are really good neighbours and feed mine and the fish when we are away would be only too happy and are a lot closer. It just annoys me, she brushes aside anything I say and treats me like a child cos she is 62 and I am 45. Her kids are older than me and she just doesn't listen. :-:

why not try telling her about a particular cat which needs a home? show her a photo or two, ask her outright if she thinks she might be able to help out

no need to link it directly to feeding your cats

I would ask her nicely if she'd stop feeding because they have various medical conditions whereby too much/different types of foods make them ill - can't you keep them enclosed in the garden?
