Title: Panic Stations
Post by: bonnielass on May 28, 2009, 17:42:03 PM
Kali my oriental is now starting to stalk the baby birds and to try and save them i put a safety collar on her (last resort ) with a little bell, she went beserk,  running round like someone possesed, flying over fences up the street and finally ran into the house and collapsed, she was panting like a dog and so distressed :scared: i grabbed her and whipped the collar off and put cold water on her head and neck and dribbled some into her mouth, it took her almost 30mns to calm down, so no more collars, the birds will have to take their chances

Oh bless her,  hope she is OK,  my Mum has always had Burmese cats and not one of them will wear a collar,  maybe it is a trait.

Bells dont stop them hunting, cats are smart enough to learn how to walk without ringing them  :evillaugh:
