Well as many of you know, sadly our most recent addition; Mojo didn't work out and has had to be rehomed as he really didn't like living with other cats. My lot are a sociable bunch so felt although Mojo wasn't the right cat, we would love another. As we know Mojo has the most wonderful home and I am on holiday from work for a week, we decided to see if there were any cats in care which would fit into the family.
I wasn't going to say anything for a while but of course, I can't contain myself! The right pud came along and we just felt we couldn't not home him! This is Marley, he's a 2 year old black cat who is semi long haired. Very bushy tail but quite sleek elsewhere! He's very affectionate and is used to being one of 11 (unneutered!!! >:() cats as well as having previously lived with 3 dogs and goodness knows how many smaller pets. Dispite being in fairly hectic conditions, he is incredibly social and of course coming to me as a CP cat, he's been neuetered. He's very sociable with us- had his paws on my chest within seconds of meeting me in fact and is already getting on quite well with the other cats and is very confident around the house. Jasper and him have already shown signs of wanting to play with him so things are looking positive.
I have found the whole situation with Moj very upsetting as I really fell for him in a big way and it is never easy letting go but in a way getting Marley has shown me that we made the right decision in rehoming Mojo as I know how much better Moj will be in a only-cat environment where as Marley is the sort of cat that really likes other felines. In a way I wanted to see them really settled before telling people about him but can't hold it in! lol
The piccies don't really show his full gorgeousness but the vids show how playful he is! I shall try and get some better pics soon but he really does struggle to stay still!

I knew that other thread looking for boys names was fishy :naughty: Am really please for you and for Marley, he's a hunk :Luv2: You'll never forget Mojo and from the sounds of it he will be happier in his new home with no other cats
-
We had actually named him by the time I wrote the thread but it did get me thinking I needed to have a supply as we always struggle with names for our admissions :)

Oo Marley is gorgeous! I remember Gizzy (my cat) having fur that lenght....he is now like an over grown rug!!! :evillaugh:
-
Aww he's lovely :Luv2: Welcome to Purrs and the rest of your life Marley :)
-
Ooooh he's lovely - and a tail to rival my Gizzys! :Luv2:
-
Ahh :Luv: :Luv: he's gorgeous :Luv2:

Yeah it's already going so well. Jasper and Monty both seem at ease with him now which is very quick and Oscar isn't stressed by him at all.... just 'aware' of him. Oscar's exactly like he was when Jasper and Rufus arrived and they became such great friends. I guess when you live in a multicat household of 11 (at the lowest point when there wasn't kittens) you learn that other cats are quite nice! He was a cat who it was suggested needed to go with other cats as he likes their company so much.
He's been soooo friendly with us and if you put your hand out he will jump up to headbutt it. His tail is indeed very impressive! :Luv2: He doesn't do an awful lot of resting when we're around as he is very attention seeking but as soon as he decides to sit still I shall take some more pics. :Luv:

I think this was meant to be Debs....To fit in well so soon is a brilliant thing to happen! ;D

His tail is indeed very impressive!
You will soon find that hairy tails are never under control, they dip in your drink, in your dinner and up your nose but are great for dusting, i regularly stick taz up corners i cant reach :evillaugh:
-
Yep I am used to the furry sweep- Monty's tail is usually in my dinner of an eveening as hge walks past trying to steel it! I'm sure Marley will pick up on that too! Good tip about the dusting though! hehehe
-
well lets hope he continues to behave himself!
