Hi Everyone,
Sorry not been about much recently, don't seem to have stopped since the wedding really.
Anyway, I would love your advice on something.
Long story short my MiL has just let her female cat have a second litter of kittens. I (with very much appreciated help from others) have tried to get Millie spayed previously but to no avail. Her last litter of three went to lovely homes and MiL kept one male.
Well surprise, surprise she txt last week to say Millie had another litter of 4 (she found out when taking her to the vets for her spay...if you believe that you'll believe anything).
She is going to keep a grey tabby boy and get him and Millie neutered (leaving her boy Bruce from the first litter as a tom :tired: ).
She knows I have always wanted a ginger boy and in the litter is a ginger boy, unsurprisingly I have fallen in love. It is totally going against my better judgement to get this little lad but I think if we get him at least we will know that he won't be doing any reproducing and I won't give her any money for him but will pay some of her vet bills for the neutering. So we will know it is done then. Also Kiki would love a little-un near her own age to play with I think.
Feel so conflicted :( I know we could give him a fab home and our lot would settle down pretty quickly. We may struggle financially with having our gangs injections in June and August but we'd make sure our boy and at least one of hers are snipped, chipped and jabbed by hook or by crook but i think she is playing on our good nature. Her niece is going to take at least the other kitten (if not both) but I have a strong suspicion they won't be neutered either.
Oh I don't know what to do :(

Where's the dilemna? :naughty: If you can stretch to the first round of jabs for him then just put away a small amount each month so that when boosters are due it's not a big expense and you have the cash ready :)
I await the pics :sneaky: :naughty:

Awww, ginger boy. That's what happened with Tobester; his three littermates were longhaired fluffballs and he was a short haired ginger tabby; all the others were offered homes straight away. Although I disapproved of my friend allowing her cat to have kittens without thinking it through, I was immediately smitten. :Luv:
Go for it! Ginger cats rock. :)

I see no dilemma :sneaky:
