Well I've been gardening all day in the sunshine and as I was clearing and area which hasn't been looked at for a while, I found on of Rufus' collars that he must have lost before he passed away. I think he lost it in Jan sometime as I know he lost it and then we replaced it.
At first, I immediately burst into tears at felt that horrible pang of loss and grief but now I think about it, I am kind of pleased I have something physical of him. I have put it away safe and will always keep it. It has definitely left me in need of a hug though and OH is out at the mo.

:cuddle: A giant cuddle for you.
I get like that. was moving some stuff about a while ago and a small tuft of ginger fur floated out. I immediately started crying.... but it is now firmly ensconced in my "special things" box.

I still have a collar Magpie wore. They only wore collars for a short while when they were younger but I couldn't bring myself to throw them out.

I know how you must feel.
I posted some time previously that moments before we took ‘our boy’ (Badger our dog) to the vets to be gently PTS, (he had a month before that had his spleen removed due to cancer but suddenly went downhill, although 2 hours had been to the vets and seemed so well,) he had vomited in an area where he always lay as it is shaded. It is an area of our back garden between one of the cat pens and the gate with a Fuchsia bush, a few daffs and Lily of the Valley pop up once a year, now most of the area is covered with loads of Blue Bells, they only came up for the first time about 2 months after our boy had gone to Rainbow bridge. So now each time I see them (which is now) it reminds me of ‘our boy’ although in reality he is never far from my mind.

I had a similar thing last night. We borrowed a Vax to clean our carpets and when we moved the dining table there was a Smudge-shaped pile of fur from when he used to sleep under there. I still really miss them all so much :'(
