My name is Dollar, i'm a 13 month old neutered tom cat. Im very friendly and laid back. Ive found myself homeless for just being a cat and doing what cats do, bringing home pressents of rats/mice and frogs for my daddy and kids. For some reason this isnt acceptable and im now no longer wanted. My daddy called the vets today asking for someone to take me. The vets gave him a rescues number called RACR and he called them. He made it very clear that the rescue take me in today and wouldnt wait even another day. I didnt realise I was being so terrible by giving them gifts. Luckly the rescue has taken me in and given me a nice warm bed and place to rest. I'm not not sure what happened to my whiskas but some where along the lines they have been cut off, its a blur to me? maybe the children did it, I dont know i cant remember or see well at the moment. My eyes are a bit poorly at the moment and what they call the 3rd inner eyelids are closing and they are watery. The nice lady here has put some medicine ointment in them for me and she said they will make my eyes better, which will be nice. I have now found myself looking for a new forever home and wondering if anyone will want me after being generous and giving gifts? I am friendly and very laid back and no bother really to anyone. Hopefuly some one will have room in their hearts to offer me a home.

I cant beleive this cat was handed in because he was doing what cats just do! :(

Poor baby, can't believe they chopped his whiskas off :(

Thank God he was - he's away from them now and will at least have the chance of knowing what a loving home is really like
-
Poor little man :(- I am sure he won't be looking for a forever home for long.
-
:'( awwww poor little soul
-
awww bless him, poor little man :(
-
there are some terrible people out there grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
-
Poor baby, so pleased he's out of that horrible 'home' and will have the chance to be loved by humans who will adore and appreciate him :Luv2:
-
He's lovely! Hope his eyes get better soon.
-
Well dollar you are lovely. Your old family didn't deserve such a special cat and I hope you soon find a new forever home where your gifts will be appreciated :_
-
What ignorant, horrible people! I hope Dollar gets the forever home he needs and deserves.
They should have got a goldfish!
-
Some people make you sick  dont they, how could anyone give away such a lovely cat just because hes brought them presents, they dont deserve him, and im sure he wont be long before he finds someone who will cherish him as he should be

sounds more like a case of any excuse will do >:(
he didn't get those whiskers from catching prey, did he?

That did enter my head but i dont think the cat has actualy been outside. Infact for the last 2 weeks i swear they kept him locked up and carrier as he seems attatched to it but in a odd way, more like a routine behaviour? Also whiskas ive seen bitten off from prey havent been so perfectly even bitten off and on both sides, plur the odd eyebrow ones also?
-
How did he catch prey if he hasn't been outside? The whole thing smacks of a "can't be bothered" any more attitude.
Dollar is a sweetie and I'm sure he'll come on in leaps and bounds with you.

Exactly my thought. The whole time the guy has been contridicting what he was saying. he told me one thing (or 2) and they vets another thng or 2. I think he might of caght odd mouse or what not here and there as most cats do but there is more to it.
Its amazing what storys you get told. I asked this guy what does Dollar eat as i like to keep them on the same food at 1st so a sudden change doesnt upset them. I then got a lenghty lecture about his food and why he is fed that, the whole tale was unbeleivably stupid. Apperently the cat suffered dhydration so the vets told them to feed him dry food only and no wet food!! This is a stupid excuse, wellc ant say excuse as any cat lover sensible person will know that if a cats suffering dhydration a vet wont recommend dry food. I beleive this was said because dry food is cheaper than wet food and easier to feed, alot of people do this. I asked vets if he suffered dhydration incase he had and I need to be aware of something but he hasnt.

He sounds an appalling bloke. Glad Dollar's away from him!
-
My God, one of mine is a hunter and the most I have considered is to keep him in!
Once again stupid people getting pets they dont truely understand >:(
Hope the lovely wee man finds a home soon :)
-
What a foul and stupid man. Poor Dollar. Those poor whiskas. Hope he finds his forever home soon x
-
He's lovely and he's well out of there.
The mice don't carry scissors here in Fulham.
I hope his eyes respond quickly to treatment.
-
I think it's something you just have to deal with. Cats are predators; end of - if people can't cope with that I'm not sure they should share their home with them. (Just my opinion!)
The mice don't carry scissors here in Fulham.
 Love it!

I don't get how that is meant? :shy:

I think Christine is referring to his damaged whiskers?

Yes i understand that bit, but the sentence is a sarcastic/joke way put and im not sure who its meant to *blushes*

It was my way of expressing agreement with Trigger and yourself and exasperation at the people who allowed this to be done to Dollar.
I am inclined to irony from time to time ;) but if ever something I've written feels like a personal slight, then it has not come across as I meant it. I don't do personal slights. :)

Ahhhno thats fine. I am known to be a bit slow on the mark at times :shy: Its normaly when lack of sleep hits in. You will get used to me :shy: Lol.
Thanks for explaining it :)

How's Dollar doing today?
-
He's SO gorgeous. If I thought The Munchkin would tolerate another cat....
I'm sure it won't take long before he finds a proper human to love.

Dollar has been moved over into a foster home and settling very well. Seems to find a crate comforting for security bless him. He has to ladies visit him dailey through patio window, they are Hens lol.
Ive had a few people interested in him so we are just going through assesment and sorting his eyes out :)
had the old owner call today asking how he is, if he is here or gets moved on? I Said hes been moved into a foster home and settling very well. I think he was going to ask for him back until i told him he was moved. I always have sign over forms signed anyway.
Will post piccies as fosterer sends them :)

What a horrible, horrible man! >:( Thank goodness poor Dollar is away from that dreadful family. I do hope that his eye problems continue to improve while he's with his foster family, and that he will find himself in a lovely forever home soon :)
