Title: Looking for new cat baskets. Any advice welcome.
Post by: woowoo on April 08, 2009, 21:41:30 PM
Does anyone know of some cheapish wire/metal cat baskets? I've looked on metalcotes site, but I seem to think there was another online shop that did a similar product but a bit cheaper.  Thanks guys, I know you lot will know!!!

It's worth asking at your vets. Often they have baskets left at vets when cats are PTS :( and often they sell them on. Also maybe check ebat

The vets are pretty good and do sometimes let us have cat baskets, but I want some really strong ones that are going to last. The plastic ones tend to get broken after a while. Thanks though I'll check on Ebay.

Theres a few on here http://www.k9capers.com/shop/products.asp?cat=218 (http://www.k9capers.com/shop/products.asp?cat=218) personally i like metal cotes better as the metal is thicker,i know a cat who busted the stick on the above links style of basket  :evillaugh:

Can also vouch on the service of metalcote, i had one slightly bent cage delivered, it wasnt a huge dent but being a crush cage the slidey door wasnt as smooth as you need it to be so i had a very prompt after sales service experience.  :wow:

Think you are right you certainly get what you pay for with metalcote. I'll save up a bit more then! Thanks Rx :thanks:
