Title: Rest in peace, Perdy and Nicky
Post by: JackSpratt on April 02, 2009, 12:17:47 PM
I hope Dabs doesn't mind me doing this but something about Perdys situation really got to me. I'm glad that Perdy got love and affection in the final stages of her life and I'm sure she is too.

RIP Perdy, you might not have known love for long, but you knew it in large quantities in the end.

Oh JS just seen this, a big thank you for thinking of her and me.    I am really touched and sitting here having a sniffle now. You are right she was loved in the last week of her life and I cannot believe that a litle scrap that was only here for a week has left such a huge hole in my heart.  I really miss her, big softy that I am.

Dabs, she looked such a lovely girl. It makes me sad to know ho unappreciated she was before she came into your life. Hope you're OK.

Yes, JS I am fine as can be, thanks for asking. A bit rough still, losing two cats in a week has been tough. One a much loved pet and one discarded like a piece of rubbish, I really cannot understand what goes thru people's heads.

She was a lovely cat, so placid and would purr in delight when she saw me, the fact that I usually had a food bowl in my hand may have helped! Right to the end she remained so trusting and the things that some of these cats go through yet can still be affectionate is just amazing.

All the idiots that dumped her and her sister had to do was either phone the vets to say where the carrier was, or put them where they could be seen, or better still just walk in with the carrier and say that they could not cope and leave them there. In order for these girls to have been hidden where they were, they would have to have been dumped during opening hours as the gates would have been open.  That is what makes it worse.

Altered the thread title to include Nicky - seemed fitting the sisters got a thread together.

RIP Nicky, Perdy will be waiting for you.
