Title: Lidl pouches - cats going mad for them
Post by: Mark on March 30, 2009, 09:41:29 AM
I bought a box of their pouches in gravy last week - I just get odd boxes of food as treats. They are all going mad for it and in fact, Alice and Clapton rejected their Felix senior today and were holding out for it  - OHs colleague gave him a sample of Go-cat indoor dry and I had considered using it as a treat (just a few kibbles at a time) but I don't want them refusing decent dry as well so I wlll pass on that one  :evillaugh:

Ruby just hit the esc button and poof; post gone.  As I was saying...

Don't go mad stocking up on boxes of the Lidl pouches just yet Mark as you may well find they won't touch them with a bargepole if you do.  Niceand easy does it  ;)  Been there and done that with Aldi pouches middle of last year.  Have still got one left that I was going to try on Dinah as she will eat pretty much anything  :evillaugh:

Ours go mental for the Aldi square pouch things, will only get a few a month though as so paranoid they are total junk food for the cats.

I am always wary of stuff they go bananas for to the exclusion of anything else. Many years ago, my lot got hooked on a low grade wet food big time. So much so it took me weeks to get them off the stuff - substituting a little of the good stuff at a time. I found out a long time after that the low grade manufacturer was putting catnip in the recipe.  >:(

They're a no-go here, as ingestion of these by a certain Sir results in projectile vomiting.
