And getting them taken from general sale? Was just wondering.
-
Oh, I haven't heard anything about this - what is wrong with them?

They cause horrendous reactions in some cats >:( fitting and such. A friend of mines cat nearly died. Bob Martin paid the vet bill "out of goodwill" but of course accepted no responsibility. :censored:
-
I've used them for a few years and both my cats have been fine - I've only recently started using another brand as I'm buying from a different shop that doesn't stock Bob Martin's.
-
Also the fact that they dont work!!
Anything sold in a supermarket or petshop is useless and dangerous, a few petshops will sell frontline at an inflated price which is a decent product but the likes of bob martin, sherleys, johnson etc avoid like the plaque
-
And just to add that lots of cats have died where owners have treated cats with dog flea treament. :'(
-
Ive just been "Googling" and there are some horrific stories about the ill effects and the deaths of cats after this stuff has been used. I didnt know of the risks until rading something here. Thank God, Id always used stuff from the Vet
What are the 'Purrs" rules on petitions? Is there anything we can do ?
I cant find an on line petition at present.

The case i know of was someone using the right dosage etc, on a cat who'd had the stuff for years, but for some reason that particular time it attacked her nervous system and so, so nearly killed her. As it was she died recently (a year later) but i don't think that was connected, most likely old age that got her in the end. For the price of decent fully tested stuff from the vets there's no reason to use the supermarket products, the risks are just way too high IMO. :(

So there isn't one? That surprises me.

A friend of mine treated her cats with Bob Martins, one of her cats, Bingley, also fitted and nearly died. He is, however, now fine fit and healthy. Jake reacted badly to flea collar, so its frontline or nothing for him.

Does this mean you will be doing a petition Jack? If so just tell me where to sign..... ;)

Hi
Have you thought about setting up a facebook page so that people can "LIKE" and "SHARE" the page with their friends without having to request to join. I've joined but can't share it with my friends.
-
you can either copy and paste the web page content on the bar when you are on the group page, copy and paste my link if you can or i think there is a "add friends" on the side??
thanks so much

I have to agree, pages are much better for this sort of thing, groups are a bit cumbersome and not terribly user friendly (speaking as someone who has used groups and also has a business page on Facebook). Pages are more effective to spread the word ;)
