My all white cat, Bronte, has been coming home really grubby for weeks now and brushing just isn't getting her clean. Its nothing oily or sticky she is just black with grubby dirt. She absolutely detests water so am wondering if anyone has any tips on how I am going to get my white cat back? She is 7 years old and never had this problem with her before!

Baby wipes ? Damp flannel ? Ive been incredibly lucky and had/have cats that if need be I can bath. Gizmo used to play in a coal yard about 3 doors down from where I used to live. He was a black an white and got F I L T H Y !!! He used to get his coat full of coal dust. Brushing helped a lot, too.
Chloe has never actually been bathed but a friends litle girl once managed to hug Chloe while eating an Easter Egg. My fault for giving it to her while the cats were about. Chloe was VERY sticky and I didnt want her to wash it off - I was wary of her ingesting any healthyfood. So I baby-wiped her. She was lovely and glossy afterwards and smelled cute, too :briggin:
OOOH! The c hoc olate censors are back!! :evillaugh:

you can get waterless shampoos but the baby wipes are a good suggestion, though to me when I used them on Indy, he looked a bit greasy afterwards
baby powder can also help, rub in then brush out
maybe you could get that teflon fabric conditioner? wipe her with that so dirt slides right off  (don't worry, joke, not suggesting you poison kitty... don't hurt me)

I'm also a fan of cleansing wipes. Alot less hassel then getting the hose out! :sneaky:
Im going to try the Simple Solution wipes on my next order.

Our Schui was always dirty he couldn't groom very well and suffered with snotty nose all the time. My vet advised me to use baby wipes, sometimes I just added a little extra water for stubborn areas, rubbed the fur together then brushed. Let us know how you get on :)

Unscented baby wipes :) They make light work of Blip's occasional requirements.
