I really would like somewhere permanent,he found me one home but after a year they did'nt want me anymore maybe it was because I went blind in one eye, uncle rons says he may have to get the vet to take my dodgy eye out as it is getting rather large but after that I can go to a nice new home you can see more about me on his website.

Poor baby! hugs, purrs and prayers
-
Aww, I do hope he gets a good home.
-
fingers crossed for this little feller
-
Took little Tigger to the vets today, the vet said he has a cataract in his good eye and put him on eye drops three times a day and that they can save the good eye, but he has to go back in two week and they will then know if he has to have the bad eye removed apart form that Tigger is doing fine, just hope it all turns out fine for him then i can try and find him a forever home or some kind person will foster him.

It's so sad that because the poor cat has health problems, he was returned as "faulty goods" :(
What makes it doubly upsetting is the fact that he was rehomed once before then sent back - poor little thing.
The similar thing happened when I got Kylie from CP. She had been rehomed 2 weeks earlier and returned as "It doesn't do anything we are getting a dog instead" - how wrong can they be about cats!. Anyway, their loss, my gain. I love my kylie to bits! :Luv:
-
Fingers crossed Ron - we are all hoping for the best for him
-
Fingers crossed for Tigger. I don't understand how anyone could give him up just because he had a gammy eye, but then there's a lot of things I don't understand...
Hugs to him.
-
Best of luck for the poor little chap :(

     kills me this what did they want a cat that juggles while walking one footed across a telephone wire while telling dog jokes.
I believe in fate mark and kylie found the right home.
roger.

it just goes to show! I did a home visit and a follow up visit when i homed poor Tigger to them nearly two years ago and they seemed nice people, But the vet said its had cataract ,s in both eyes and if they had botherd to take poor Tigger to the vet they could have probably had drops that would have saved his eye, the storey they told me was he kept crying all the time, then when the husband brought him back he said it was a family bust up, i wont tell you what i told him. still if he had stayed with them the poor boy would have ended up blind in both eyes i will make sure his next home is a perfect one poor Lad. anyway it seems you cant always be right about people even when you do home visits.
-
Oh Ron he is so handsome :Luv:
I am sure he will find a loving forever home soon. Please give him and the rest of all your furbabes a huge cuddle from me xx
-
You cant be right all the time and a home visit is just a snapshot in time on which you have to make your best jusgement. I bet you are right far more times than wrong and its sad this little one has suffered in his new home but he now has you again and hope he will get a great home next time ;D
-
I am sure that some of the home visits that I'v done the hoover had been working overtime before I arrived
-
not yet lyn I think some are watching what going to happen about his eye it might have to come out and a decision is being made between ron and the vet his eye has got larger and I think it would be better out so it will give no more trouble we will have to wait and see :(
-
poor kitty :(
-
Bless his wee paws :(
Sending Tigger lots of love and cuddles xxxx
-
Ron, you're doing a grand job and I hope poor Tigger's eye will be saved. I've recently rehomed a one eyed babe so even if the worst does happen, he's still in with a chance at getting his perfect home.
-
If someone genuinely loves cats they won't care if he had one eye.
Over the years we have homed numerous one eyed cats, although we always home the as indoor only, or homes to a cat safe garden.
-
How true Lyn if you love cats the shape, size & colour really doesn't matter. Ron has done an outstanding job for many years & I know he will get the right home for this little one. ( wish I had the room :( )
-
Fingers crossed for him.
-
picture now kitty is home with ron for a while.

Awww my freddy is a one eyed boy and he's simply gorgeous, wouldn't quite be the same with two ;) It wasn't mentioned by CP that he should be indoor only although as it turns out, one year on he still is indoor only but that was mainly due to winter and a series of little operations (getting his eye medically closed and also a wound healing issue on his back).
Oh and prior to my home check I cleaned solidly for two days, I had no idea what they were going to do, check under the beds?
-
me to - my house has never been cleaner than when the blue cross and rspca came to check us out!! I think it was because we had been turned down by a local rescue because of our location, I was paranoid!!

I was scared that it was too obviously recently hoovered so I burned a scented candle to cover the smell and then panicked because you shouldn't have candles burning on a low table with cats around, I was in a right tizz!!! My elderly recue cat had died only a month or so before and we hadn't got a home check for her (SSPCA) so I really was nervous.

Tigger had his stitches out today after having his eye removed he is still a good looking Lad, i told you he would be joining the family, but has been living in my office most of the time since his opp but coming to bed when i go, Last night i could not find him he had took a trip outside without me knowing, (panic) it was one thirty in the morning, there i was roaming the streets with a torch till 5.30 looking for him and calling his name with no joy and two of my other cats Tom and Lizzie following me thinking it was great fun i looked everywhere" he was due at the vets at 9-30 when i finally made my way back to the house there he was waiting staring at me with his one eye more or less saying what the big deal why is every one panicking so we made to the vets on time but i have been walking about all day :tired: :tired: and he has been tucked up on his heated bed dead to the world.
-
Oh dear , your cats are leading you a dogs life
Kocka used to do that to me , I would be down the garden shouting for her after searching the house and she would be standing behind me when I turned round. I have never figured out where she came from cos she didnt pass me ;D ;D
Pleased Tigger has done so well ;D
-
I am glad he is doing so well.
-
Oh Ron - we shouldn't laugh, but the way you tell it, I can picture it so well !

just thought i would give a update on tiggy he is doing fine and has settled down with my other cats, he now follows me about like a little dog, he goes out even though his other eye is not that good but he seems to find his way next door for a treat or two, and now i would never part with him for anything in the world he is such a lovley lad. (little misprint corrected :shy:)
