Was cleaning the flat etc. Then realised Jack was not around (not like him) looked in his usual hiding places - he only goes there when scarred. Could not find him - i was impressed at his ability to hide so well in a 2 bedroom flat!!
Realy starting to get curious, then heard a noise from under the sink - opened the door and out he popped, none the worse :-:
(I know there are chemicals etc. - live and learn....)

it's easily done, the number of times i've shut one of the dogs in a bedroom/porch is unbelievable. :shy: :evillaugh: My two kittens are a nightmare for getting in cupboards, they both line up at the doors waiting for me to open them :innocent: they got into the airing cupboard when i was getting a towel a few days ago and disappeared behind the water heater :shocked: had to tempt them out with biscuits as i couldn't reach to get them out. :doh:

Ours are maniacs for getting into cupboards - ususally wardrobes (they're nice and roomy).
Mind you, when I was a kid, and felix was a kitten, he got stuck under our fridge.... Dad had to lift out the fridge to get him out :Crazy:

Max is a fiend for open cupboards as well, he got himself shut into my wardobe several times now, in fact if ever I can't find him, its the first place I'll go and look :tired:

Had a one bedroom flat in London and Kocka was a devil and especially when she knew she was going to the vet, she was very industrious in find hiding places.
One time I had searched everywhere and knew she was indoors cos had shut the flap and seen her but could I find her.................
After searching every where a number of times I sat on the sofa in the front room after ringing the vet to say I may not be coming and something made me think about a cupboard in there which was only about 2 inches off the floor......I remember looking at it and thinking noway could she get under there and then , oh well I better just look and got down and found myself gazing into two yellow eyes laughing at me :rofl: :rofl:

my poor Ollie got shut in the tumble drier for a whole night and day, the condenser type with no glass in the door. he came in with the rest for his dinner the night before and it was only the following evening when i'd got them all in again that i started to wonder where he was. i just assumed he'd gone out with the rest that morning. as i was feeding them i could hear a scratching and kept opening the back door expecting him to be there. then i realised where it was coming from. he jumped straight out and ran for the kittens litter tray before flying back down the stairs for his dinner. he must have jumped in the evening before and somebody (animal or human) must have pushed the door shut. all the clothes were covered in hair but he hadn't wee'd in there. what a lovely clean boy :rofl:

Byron did that once in the deep kitchen drawer and another time in my wardrobe :naughty: all the stress and she was just having a nap

Oh, I've shut mine in the wardrobe before - now, I have to do a head count before I leave the flat to make sure I'm not going out all day leaving one of them locked in somewhere.

My Mum's cat - Diavolo.... Well, he was extraordinarily gorgeous to look at but... well... I think there were a couple of synapses missing.
He got 'closeted' regularly. My Mum lived in one of those old, old Maritime houses. Had a 'closet' in the bathroom - door all the way to the floor. A rod and shelves inside. She kept her night gown, housecoat, and other clothes in there, along with towels, t. paper and the like.
I well remember the first time... She called me (I lived several thousand km away) frantic. Couldn't find Diavolo! Hadn't seen him all day. Had searched and searched. I did my best to calm her. I knew he couldn't have got out so had to be there somewhere. Have you checked here? There? Anyway, sent her off to check and check and check again.
Got a call later that night. She had gone, crying, to the closet to get ready for bed - and out popped Diavolo. He hadn't cried all day - but, instead, had apparently had a fantastic time with the t. paper.
It happened repeatedly after that. Mum would call all upset and I would ask - have you checked the bathroom closet?. She would and, sure enough, out he would pop. Seems he came to look upon it rather as his own little playground.....
And I will confess... I too have on occasion opened a closet or cupboard door only to be startled by a pair of kitty eyes staring back at me. Mine open and close the doors (such doors as actually do close around here. Mine too is an old house and most things don't shut tightly) pretty much at will. That's good. I don't have to worry about them being stuck. Only have to concern myself about the heart attacks I might receive when suddenly confronted by an unexpected set of eyes.........

Ive managed to shut Chloe into the airing cupboard .... that was when the chap came to replace the immersion heater...... :-[
We have to be very careful with the larder/pantry - its big enough for us to walk into it and of course its kitty-heaven. Lots of intesting food smells!!
I did manage to shut Mr T in when we first had him - and as we keep the open cat litter sack in there he had found his own little loo, bless him :doh: He had also had a go at a fruit loaf I had forgotten* to put back in the tin and left on a plate on the shelf :evillaugh:
*Ok - i own up - Id probably had a midnight feast/snack and couldnt be arsed bothered to put it away :-[

Hubby's tool cupboard under the stairs for Skye. Couldn't find her one day after hubby had gone out to work. Knew she hadn't got out so searched and searched the house. Finally found her in there about half an hour later - lying on one of hs work jackets :rofl:
