Title: Ruby has just answered the phone!!! Do yours??
Post by: Purrlishious on February 15, 2009, 12:55:36 PM
I can't believe this...

The phone rang this morning & Ruby (Bengal)  jumped up onto the sideboard, put her mouth around it, lifted it from the base, then tossed it to the floor! The madam!

It's like she was saying.. you are not talking to anyone.. I want all your attention, it's ME ME ME & ME always!

I've not been able to stop laughing. One of those jaw dropping moments of disbelief.

Just had to share that with you!

Has any of your done this?

Nope, but have had cats try and end conversations on the fixed landline!! I do have a cute pic of Zi at the side of my cordless, as though she wants to use it!!

Mine haven't answered the phone but they frequently disconnect it when I'm on it. Seems they feel that if I'm talking, I should be talking to them, and only them. More worrisome... Winston makes calls. Lies over by the phone, whacks the 'speaker' button (thereby getting the dial tone) and then flops down on the number buttons. Thankfully he's normally in here only when I am so I catch it before we end up talking to whomever he has 'called' - wherever in the world they may be.

I usually have my mobile in my pocket, on "buzz".  If Mr T is sitting on my lap and it vibrates, he wont settle until Ive taken it from my pocket and "dealt with it" ....

When the landline rings he will go and sit next to the phone and miaow until I answer it.

When I answer it and start to talk, he settles himself down, purring, as he knows its a lap opportunity.

If he thinks I have been talking for too  long, he puts his feet onto the phone - he has cut me off more than once .... I'm not sure if he knows what he is doing or it happend accidentally and he has caught on that he gets a pretty swift reaction from me!! :evillaugh:
