Pagan is moulting like crazy!! Im used to cat hairs but as the day comes ever closer to moving i wonder about peoples cat hair managment systems! Of course hoovering lots! And investing in sticky rollers for clothes. Anyone know of a good cat mitt?

Slicker brushes are great for getting loose moulting hair out of the coat, specially for shorthairs. Like this one http://www.dingdarlin.co.uk/userfiles/image/slicker_brush.jpg

I use a very similar (pink) one on my cats and it's very good :)

Phoebe is moulting like i have never seen before in any of my cats, It started after her last visit to the vets 2 weeks ago :scared: I put it to advocate that the vet used on her and thought it must be a reaction, but its not geting better. :(

Vet trips make Alice moult like mad - it must be some kind kind of stress thing?

floss and tepe moult constantly, even after brushing them 2 mins later you pick them up and you are covered in cat hairs, it's really embarressing when people come round and cuddle them, i have to pass round the comunal sticky roller! i am getting quite stressed about it i am soooo pleased i saw this thread, so the brush link beow is the best for short hairs, correct?

Alice adores her slicker brush - especially on her neck and chin :Luv2: - some of them are bare wire on the end but I got mine from PAH and their have little plastic bobbles on the ends of the wires t stop them being too scratchy.

Yes its great for shorthairs, good for longhairs too, I use one like that on my persians.

Beavis moults 365 days of the year - in good light you can see fine white hairs drifting around in the air!
I have given in gracefully , and get through a lot of sticky roller refills!

Milo hardly really moults at all. He is quite short haired. Pagan though is longer haired. Not long but not short. Just very very fluffy! Beautiful though! I picked her because of her lovely coat...ignoring that it might be a problem lol. She is pure white and the hairs are bad but not usually this bad. Im putting it down to hormones (7months old) and change in season. Might also be stress of all that went on with ex bf and me.
Il invest in sticky rollers and leave them in the hall for people to use on the way out!

I just embrace the hairiness of sharing my home with furry people ;D I'm too lazy to worry about it. I do sometimes feel a bit embarrassed when I go to work wearing them (and have colleagues pointing this out) but hey, I just like having a part of them close to me at all times!

Yep, that sounds like mine - with the plastic bobbles on the end and ours love round the head area brushing too. I agree about the moulting at the vets too, as soon as I take mine out of the carrier the vet's table is covered in cat hair I think it is stress.
I've found that lighter haired cats seem to moult the most.

on pah site is it the small duo double brush which is oval or or the medium soft pin slicker which is recangle?

Neither of those are the ones I have. They may have changed them as I got mine well over a year ago - they were BOGOF at the time. You can't tell in the photo if the mikki ones have the bobbles. I looked on mine but there is no name on them.
