Title: Is there a minimum age for Da Mousey play?
Post by: Rosella moggy on February 02, 2009, 15:34:32 PM
I thought kitties might like a little play with Da Mousey ....

Millie has turned into an 11 week old monster     I had to get outta there!  She flew around the room as if she were a bird and growled really agressively whilst running around with Da Mousey in her mouth.  When I took it off her, she stalked me.  :scared:

Ruby wanted to play but didn't get a look in  :(

I'm just not sure Millie can handle it  :scared:  Think I'll go and try a wiggly waggler now .....

:evillaugh: :evillaugh: Sorry I shouldn't laugh, but the image of you running away from a teeny kitten

Ok so seriously, I don't think there is a minimum age. Some cats go crazy with Da Mousey, Lexy isn't perturbed by it on the string, but on it's own its her toy and heaven help any soul, human or not, that tries to take it away from her. I remember Ellie's Muppet was nutso about the Da Bird that he continually growled if you tried to take it away from him.  :evillaugh:

Me thinks that you might need TWO Da Mouseys...  :naughty:

All I can say is, if Millie doesn't turn out to be a hunter, my name's Looby Loo!

We already have 2 Da Mouseys Ruth  :-[. 1 long wand with the string and one on the smaller wand with the wire.

We also have 3 wiggly wagglers and 3 other fishing rod toys (one came from Auntie JS) ...

then there's Garfield with the stick coming out of his head with only one last dangly left (that Billy hasn't chewed thru yet) and that's before I open the very full cat toy box which I'm sure must have a chewed Da Bird lurking somewhere amongst the debris.

It's a good job our neighbour called around with 3 further bags of small cat toys the other day  :Nooooo:, coz otherwise we'd be reported for lack of kitty mental stimulation

Anyway, whilst there might not be a deminimus age for Da Mousey, we're going to have to instigate a time limit for using it coz she'll do herself an injury

  reminds me of a baby Gizzy - he tried so hard to be threatening but his growl was more of a squeak and very very cute. I dont think us killing ourselves laughing was what he was aiming at!

He has turned into a killer hunter , and has very little interest in Da Mousie now.

No age limit but definately a time limit I reckon.

Millie sounds great, dont know which is which and one seems to have a more rounded face than the other  :shify:

You're right Gill. Ruby has the rounder face, the more browney black fur, is slightly bigger and her extra toes are very noticeable.

Millie looks slightly younger, stays with Mum alot and therefore seems the more innocent of the two but, I tell ya, beware o' that one!  ;)
