Title: Today we play the guessing game, is it him?
Post by: dabs on January 30, 2009, 17:54:40 PM
Cat chat forum, rescue and rehoming, 4 great cats needing new homes.

As everyone who needs to rehome their cats are as honest as the day is long, then surely it cannot be the same bloke can it?

Theres a post on CC - 4 cats to rehome but someone of the same name had emailed local rescues with a different story so i guess thats what has caused suspicion.

There is nothing wrong with posting on two forums, as there are different people on each.

You're quite right, but it was not his posting that aroused suspicion. It was the fact that he looks as if he has phoned local rescues with one story and posted a different reason for rehoming on CC.

If only people would be honest from the outset about rehoming, it would enable the rescues to offer better advice.

IT certainly would, and I would love to see that day - we currently have a cat with litter tray issues who we were told was aggressive - he is the cuddliest thing ever, just very dirty - the irony is we would have taken him regardless.

Last year, I had to collect a cat from a woman a few months after she homed him from us. She told me he was dirty and weeing everywhere and "Besides, my daughter doesn't want me to have a cat" (the daughter didn't live with her - it was because she was having a hip op. This was the woman who previously was going to have Alice until we found out she had a tumour) It was odd because he hadn't weed at the fosterers and didn't wee at Caroline's, despite there being several other cats and 2 dogs there. I'm pretty sure he was the one that was rehomed by monks  :Luv2: - I can't remember his name but he was a great big tabby - Sharon will remember.

It was Marcus you're thinking of, Mark.  :sneaky:

He was fine all the time in our care and eventually went off to live with some monks.  :evillaugh: :Luv:

Yep, peeps come out with the most ridiculous excuses and they must think we are idiots for believing them. I have had to bite my tongue at times with some of the things that I have heard.

For those who are following Misty's sad story, I've split the posts away from here into a new thread in honour of Misty, which is in General.
