I haven't really managed to get any decent photos of Tom for a while as he is usually asleep or a bit grumpy from being chased by the other 2 who, for once, will remain nameless.
This photo of Tom (age 17 and expecting many more) is quite nice though :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: My little man

Awww he looks wonderful for his age. Give him a snuggly hug from me.
-
Oh he is handsome ;D
-
He looks lovely, what a glossy coat he has too, especially given his age :Luv:
-
What a very handsome fellow. And so dignified too. Paddy approves...... recognises a like-minded gent when he sees one, he says!
-
He's one handsome puss and very much in charge from the looks of it! It's always good to see pictures of oldies.

Aww, bless him.

He does have a lovely, shiny coat :wow: He looks in great health and very contented.

What A lovely black kitty. What's his secret? - Sardines and the best bit of the bed?

Thank you so much everyone. Tom says ta muchly too. :thanks:
He is a sweet lad with a super temperament and his ma and pa love him alot. I just got back from the vet with him as he was limping badly last night on his rear right leg. :( He is already on very low dose of metacam for his stiff back legs (he has one drop every 3 days) and had one yesterday afternoon so, when I saw him limping so badly, I gave him another drop and rang the vet first thing. By the time we got to the vet the matacam had fully kicked and it was all I could do to stop him doing a dance routine.
So embarrassing but vet said I did right thing and to take him back if he starts limping again when metacam has had time to wear off. He thought it is either a strain or maybe arthritis getting worse but commented on how fab my boy is for a 17 year old :)
Tom has bought some dark glasses and a hat so don't bother coming Ellie, you'll never recognise him. He says Rascal looks like a handful and he needs peace and quiet.

I've just noticed I've become a senior cat :garf:
Is it really sad to be soooooo happy about that?
-
Congratulations! I don't think it's sad at all ;)
How is Tom's leg today?
-
Aww hes lovely, Ebony says he could be her grandad if he likes  She says she hopes she looks as good as that when she is seventeen :Luv:
-
Thank you kindly Ebony but I still think of him as our little boy, not really a granddad, despite his years. ;D
Tom wasn't exactly limping today but his gaite wasn't that fab so he's had another couple of Metacam drops. Vet assures me that Tom having an extra drop every now and again will do no harm. Tom still managing to go up and down stairs without too much trouble. I think he must have just strained his rear right leg. May have jumped awkwardly or something. I'm on hols this week so can keep a good eye on him.
Thanks for your concern Christine.

Hi Rosella I would still recognise
I am a senior cat too :yesss: and yes I got just as excited :oolala:
Please give your three handsome boys lots of kisses and cuddles from me xxxx

Blip did something similar recently - we were worried that she might have arthritis too but our vet advised to hang on and see if she was back to normal after a week or two. It did take a couple of weeks though and she's younger, at eight. Hope Tom recovers quickly.
:Luv:

Aw, he's gorgeous. Black cats are so beautiful! And he doesn't look his age!
