Hey there..how are you all doing?
I was wondering if you could offer some advice please.
When i got home from work this lunchtime i went into the spare bedroom & there was cat poo in the middle of the floor, this is unusual behaviour for snooch, she has never done it before. I have a hooded catlitter tray in the kitchen (by the way i live in a flat so its all on 1 level), which she used all the time when she was a kitten & since she started going out shes gone toilet outside, the cat litter tray is always down though, just in case. I picked the poo up, took the hood off of the litter tray & put it in there..i put snooch in to show her. She has a cat flap that is always open, the weather isn't that bad down here, infact i think shes been out in worse..can anyone shed any light on why she might have done this & anyways in which i could prevent her from doing it again :thanks:

It may just have been an accident, have you upsewt her at all lol or is there a new cat outside that may have scared her? If it happens again and there seems to be no reason then best to get a vet to check her out.

Yeh it could've been an accident i suppose..i hope..it could also be another cat..anything with 4 legs scares her  ..shes defo a human only cat, well,a mummy only cat :Luv2:
Thanks Gill..i was unduly worried again ;D

this is a quick answer but I think fab cats or something might have something a bit better

Could the poo have got stuck to her fur and they come loose later ?
-
are you sure it was her? i don't have a cat flap but i leave a small window open all day in the kitchen and a while back i noticed a smell near the front door. all of my cats are clean and only the 2 kittens use the litter tray to poo although occasionally Lupus will use it during the night. if ever i'm late opening the window in the morning a couple of mine will wee down the bath plughole. i was pretty sure it was Lupus weeing by the front door...until i caught an interloper  a huge, long-haired, beautiful ginger and white (Sam) from the next road along . he stopped coming when i got a puppy shortly after.

I'm not 100% sure it is poo now as its happened again today..although this time there was a half eaten bird next to it..so i think she must be vomitting after eating the bird  because i also noticed a birds head on the outdoor stairs the last time it happened...eeewwww! Its like a long thin sausage in shape & quite solid...Sorry don't know why i felt the need to tell you that..hope no1's eating their lunch!
My old cat used to pee down the plug hole to..i used to be sat in the bath & he'd come in look at me like i wasn't supposed to be there..hop into the sink..pee then saunter on out again..so glad he didn't try & pee in the bath
-
i know a lot of people would think it's disgusting but i think it's very clever of them to wee down the plughole
your pusscat looks just like my Teddy :Luv2:
-
I think its clever too..your Teddy is obviously a very beautiful cat too :Luv2:

A good hairball does look like a poo so easy mistake! Poor Snooch, shes probably still wondering why her servant put her hairball in the litter tray
