Chloe likes to get attention (especially if you have your eyes closed) by putting her paws on your face. Very gently either side of my nose, then patting .... If that fails, a paw in the mouth ..... :tired:
Mr T is more direct in his approach - A 10 ton moggy straight in the lap usually gets results ! :naughty: And shouting in my ear. The other day it was a nibbled ear ..... :tired:

Yesterday I thought Riley was the most annoying cat known to man, he has a pathetic squeaky 'mewl' and he kept rolling onto his back in the middle of the room, squeaking, squeaking some more, cue me going over and rubbing his tummy, he gets bored, I stop, go back to the settee.. and repeat... and repeat :tired:
Today I have decided that Lu's mewl is much more annoying, that was low decibel moaning. He'd done over a minute of high decibel moaning before I took that video :evillaugh:

Most cats Ive known have lots of different vocal sounds for all sorts of different wants and needs. Its been easy to establish "food", "cuddle" or "My litter tray is full get up and deal with it at once, you lazy cat-mother!!" mews.
Mr T, unfortunately, has just one miaow.
And boy, does he know how to use it! We've always talked about Chloe waking up. Mr T "goes off" Like a bomb or alarm clock ..... And until you manage to work out what it might be that he wants there is a non-stop kitty commentry of "WAAAAH!!"" :tired:

Indy has a much wider vocab of trills, purrs, moans and mieows ranging from 'hello' to 'I'm gonna eat the dog' and everything in between

he does!! it's a weird purry growl he makes *only* before attacking the dog and trying to get as mych of the Spaniels ear into his mouth as possible... Max gets rid of him with a single lick :evillaugh:

Oh, I believe you!! It just made me laugh - the things cats do!! :briggin: I think on the whole its easier to deal with a cat that "talks" rather than a silent one. I remember a foster cat we had who was like a stealth bomber ..... She would vanish, without a sound, and we would hunt madle for her - then drop on your head and shoulders from the top of the curtains or a shelf ... I like to think it wsa an affectionate thing and she just wantd a cuddle ( :Crazy:) I wasn't too sorry though, when she went to her new home ...

Like I could ever forget to feed such a beautiful little boy (well OK, maybe once or twice) :evillaugh: He was actually saying 'Mum, can you open the back door for me, I know that I've been in and out like a yo-yo for the last hour but if you open it again I promise to leave it at least 75 seconds before I launch myself at the back door yowling demanding to come back in' :evillaugh:
