Its not really cat related but are any of those plug in beds big enough for a border collie? My parents dog has a slipped disc in her back and they've been told to put heat pads on her but shes not having any of that so I thought a heated bed might work instead.
Thank you

tis a bit pricier but http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-CONSTANT-COMPANIONS-HEATED-PET-DOG-CAT-BED-X-LARGE_W0QQitemZ260334099593QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Pet_Supplies_Dogs?hash=item260334099593&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-CONSTANT-COMPANIONS-HEATED-PET-DOG-CAT-BED-X-LARGE_W0QQitemZ260334099593QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Pet_Supplies_Dogs?hash=item260334099593&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318) is apparently good
and this is the big version of Mabels pad and can go on top of the dogs existing bed http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cat-dog-bed-pet-heater-Whelping-heat-heated-mat-X-LARGE_W0QQitemZ360095453946QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Pet_Supplies_Cats?hash=item360095453946&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cat-dog-bed-pet-heater-Whelping-heat-heated-mat-X-LARGE_W0QQitemZ360095453946QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Pet_Supplies_Cats?hash=item360095453946&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318)

I can recommend the constant companions brand as we have 2 of their heated cat beds. I don't think their largest enclosed bed would be big enough for a border collie as the medium is normal cat size and the small is small cat/kitten sized. They are also designed to provide support for joints which is better than a solid pad I think. The one in the bottom link looks a bit on the small side?
