Well the pics are a mix and were taken very recently, some like in last two days. There is a mixture of Franta, Misa, and Sasa ;D
For those who dont know, Misaman is the enormous black and white, Franta babyman id the seal point birman and Sasa well she is the scaredy tortie calico who is hiding ;D
First up is Franta in his box.......well my box........the one I wanted to put the chrissy balls in from the tree! But why clean yourdelf in the wide open when you can do it in a box behind the sofa?
-
Mmmm she must be hiding very well
-
Ok so I tried but I couldnt catch him looking at me cept when he came on desk today and he was peeping.......sigh
-
Next up come Misa and Sasa......the latter is rare cos she is looking at me from her hiding place and as you can see she was not amused!
-
I love them all :Luv: Sasa looks like she is blowing you a kiss - or it might have been a raspberry ........ :naughty:
-
What beautiful kitties, :Luv: :Luv: no wonder your so proud of them they are gorgeous :wow:
-
awwww :Luv2:
-
I will have to go upstairs and take one of Ducha so he doesnt feel left out ;D

-
thanks ;D
the lounging pad is one from the cat show and has a picture on otherside.............these cats like the fluffy side but kocka would only lie on the material side!
have just snapped ducha but wonder if any of them arent blurred cos he doesnt like the flash
-
Your cats Gill are simply stunning and their coats are so gleaming and not a matt in sight, how do you do it? btw we need pics of Ducha, cant leave him out can we :Luv2: :Luv2:
When did you say you were going away again? :shify: :shify: :innocent:
-
I didnt lol :shify:
Here us Ducha aka Slinky Minky coming up....have had to crawl aropund on my knees and follow him cos he doesnt like the camera.
He has china blue eyes not red ones, I wish I coukld get then real colour.......sigh.....use your imagination is the message and the first one coming up is Sasa, managed one more then she ran away and nearly bowled me over in the process
-
Some more Ducha ;D
-
I think thats all and sorry if I duplicated any ;D
-
Ducha :Luv2: :Luv2:
Sasa and Ducha neednt be camera shy as they are simply stunning :Luv2:
-
Sasa is a beautiful cat and not at all camera shy, she is people hating and I still cant stroke her although she will sniff my fingers if I put them close to her......my body has to be 3 ft away though
Ducha doesnt like the flash on the camera and is very nosy so spent lot of time with him chasing me and getting too close lol........he needs shades cos I think strong light hurts his eyes and he screws them up when he is outside.
-
  Beuatiful, beautiful piccies Gill! I love Ducha beaming the thought transmission to his box of biscuits on the stairs :evillaugh:
-

-
Lovely photos ;D
-
I love them all - very beautiful kittys although some camera-shy.
What is the story with Sasa? Has she always been people-hating? Do you know her background?
-
sasa came to me 3 and half years ago with misa fron cp, they had never met before but got on fron day one.
she was found living amongst ferals and they hqd tried rehoming her twice but each time she had been brought back cos she bit and scratched, i dont know if those homes had children but suspect they did. i guess she was chosen cos she looks so nice. she had been kept in a semi outside cage for at least a year and the cp lady was so scared of her she would not go near her but i was able to stroke her, although she cowed as far back in her basket as possible but didnt have anywhere else to go.
they were not entirely honest with me about her cos they wanted to home her so bad and should have suspected a rat cos they gave her to me cos she was by then reguarded as unhomeable, along with misa who had been saved by a vet from being pts. he is terrified of all people except me.
sasa was doing quite well with me and i could stroke her as long as she was on the stairs and two stairs above me but i had to go back to london to hospital and sasa and misa had to go in cattery. i didnt have transport so had very little choice but the person running the cattery seemed very nice. i explained that she was semi-feral and also that misa was scared of people but if she got to know misa a little each day he would probably get friendly.
to cut the story short, the cattery was terrible and both were tramatised after and sasa broke through the catflap the night she came home and went missing for a week. however one of my neighbours had seen both misa and sasa in his garden and despite me telling him not to go near her , tried to catch her!
after 5 days of terrible weather i noticed misa slipping out the flap as it went from light to dusk and then she appeared with him at the bottom of the garden and after two days she came in to stay and found her sleeping on her sofa.
i have not been able to touch her since and have to trap her to get her to the vets but then i am allowed to stroke her when she is cornered or on the vet table. luckily my vets are very good with her and are the cp vets so deal with ferals, she now forgives me quite quickly after a trip when she cries pityfully the whole time but we always have her rushing out the flap for a few hours as a protest.
a behaviourist helped me to get her to a point where she will eat out of my hand but i have to go to her cos she wont come to me and that has stayed with her as long as i do not push it. we had to stop cos the training was all based around food and misa was getting so stressed not being able to graze and me too.
i keep hoping that she will suddenly start to trust me again but not so far. she has times when she seems a little better but it takes about a year to get there and then its vet time again......sigh.
while my bro visited both misa and sasa hid for the whole day and asoon as he stepped out of the house they were out again. its so frustrating but i was told by the behaviourist that they had to iniate the actions and neither of them will. misa will come to me and is so gentle but has a very bad life before coming here and nearlt attacked me wheb he first saw me in a hat........back on his hind legs teeth barred growling and ready to go for me, it was really scary. now he is ok except if i pick up a can and then he runs for his life and hides,
both of them flinch at unexpected noises or hands or feet so reckon both have been hit or kicked at one time.
its so sads that cats should be scared even when they are now safe and have been for over 3 yrs and it seems that the memory doest go away.
-
God bless you Gill, keep clicking the camera.
Mary
-
You know Gill, when you think of the fear they've known, they've come giant steps with you - to them it will seem like infinity. They do trust you, inasmuch as they will ever allow themselves to trust a human, and when you think that before Kocka you'd never kept company with a feline, that's an enormous compliment to you.
-
Gorgeous pics Gilly, keep them coming :Luv: I never tire of seeing beautiful furbabes :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
They are gorgeous Gill. Love looking at other peeps pics & you did it because you can!!
-
Beautiful Pics Gill :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:

Sue you make me feel very humble
-
          Gill
-
Those pics are great Gill.
-
Gill - it's so sad to think that Misa and Sasa have been mistreated in the past, but you're doing all you can - and you're doing great, and you just have to let them take their time. 3 years might seem a long time, but as they gain trust I think it will be possible for them to come out of their shells in the future. I really believe that.
Either way they are very beautiful and I think that in time they will gain the trust. I hope that one day they will be able to snuggle up next to you with a few strokes without being scared.
Which one of your 4 is the most affectionate and human loving?
-
Franta ;D
If its just me then also Misa but he doesnt do laps ;D
These two are very jealous of each other and also both want my attention if the other one is there just to show they are top cat :shify:
-
Awww, I didnt know that story about Sasa, sad that the stay in the cattery caused such a setback.
Have you tried taking Ducha's photo without flash? (well, if you can get him to stick around LOL!) I don't use flash indoors with the blue eyed boys and girls to avoid the red eye.
-
I havent been able to not use the flash cos its too dark inside at moment even with lights on, cos he lives in the bedroom , except the odd excursion down the stairs ;D
The cattery thing was so sad Gillian and had never used a cattery before but had absolutely no choice.
she so wants to be friends but just cant allow herself to do it :(
She loves the laser toy and understands its something in my hand and she knows where it lives up on the bookcase too but she thinks the TV remote will do the same thing ;D Last night had the laser toy in my hand and she came right up and had a good sniff at it, that makes me feel so good but tonight she will probably hide and refuse to play........sigh
Then when turning around she swished her tail against my arm and then gave me looks to kill as if it was me that had touched her tail!

Funny, that she thinks TV remote will do same as laser toy LOL! its good though that she will come right up - I guess its all going to take much more time, bless her, that she thought you touched her tail! :innocent:
