Title: Virus sent to purrs members?
Post by: Mark on January 07, 2009, 14:50:59 PM
I have posted this in the private area as well.

I just got an email saying "Does this work" - it. is from Michael Webber who I have never heard of

There is an attachment to open called chinese.pps

It is addressed to various purrs members.

Anyone else got it?

Not here, but not sure i would bother trying it. If someone whose name is not known to me sends me something like that it goes straight in the phishing scam reporting bin ...

It was only sent to a handful of people, just a group of members that are known to the sender. It does appear, from the content, that the sender is not aware that it was sent. It looks like their address book was spammed, so sort of related to Purrs but it didn't originate via our member system so to speak.
