Title: Caught! Not that he's at all bothered!
Post by: Feline Costumier on January 02, 2009, 17:56:57 PM
As I have been clearing stuff out in preparation for the big move I have had to move Dave's food. It is in a cupboard that he can get into so I thought I'll stop him breaking in by putting three 5 litre bottles of water in front of the doors. Did this work? Did it heck! Dave's belly calling to him is far too strong a pull.

Bottles shoved out the way

funny little munchkins when they really want something aren't they. Mine shifted a door with a 10 gallon bucket of water in front of it, so they could get out the cat flap ... nothing will stop a cat if it is really determined !!

I have a similar sequence of Smidgen breaking into the drawer where I (used to) keep the cat food ... they can be very determined when they put their minds to it. Sadly, they always seem to forget to tuck their tail out of sight ... :evillaugh:

  Where food is involved they usually find a way.

I used to keep dry food in one of the kitchen cupboards.  I came home from work one day to find a large bag (unopened when I set off for work) under the sink with a large tear in the side, accompanied by teeth marks, and a significant proportion of the contents missing!  Child proof locks went on the cupboard door and I now keep the dry food in a safer place.  Only tins now get kept in that cupboard.

Tenacious, patient and the heart of a lion .... that's why we love em so much.

Dave must be a freak, he went for the 'good girl' treats over the clearly visible tub of Whiskas temptations (chicken and cheese if I'm not mistaken?)

Dave went for the ones that were easily accessible, it's all about instant gratification for Dave and food. There are actually three tubs of Temptations in there, all ignored in favour of the open Good Girl bag of catnip biscuits.  :shify:
