Losing you was so sudden - you seemed fine right up until last night. I left you overnight to see if there was any improvement; it's so difficult to tell what's wrong with such a small animal.
I hope you're happy where you are now and that you aren't too lonely without Impuku. I know he'll miss you.
RIP, you funny little mouse. I love you.

RIP little one :'(

Such an odd thing. I'm trying to look at it in terms of during the last two weeks he got lots of treats and slightly more exciting food (all checked on lists to ensure they were safe for him and Impuku.) so hopefully he went happy and content. I don't know how aware small animals are of being loved, but hopefully he knew that too.

Oh hunnie you adore all your animals and I just know they all feel it
-
RIP Nameva :(
I dont know if small animals feel love either but one thing I can be sure about is they must feel hurt and Im sure they never felt this from you x

Be at peace little one

So sorry for your loss JS RIP Nameva

RIP Nameva, find a nice friend on the Bridge to look after you
-
Hopefully they're all friends on the Bridge. I've cared for a lot of small animals and would like to think they'll just all get on now. (I know, I'm a bit odd.)
Thanks for the condolences. Impuku seems to be coping quite well considering how bonded he and Nameva were.

RIP little mouse.

Thank you. I buried him yesterday (I know it sounds bad. I waited because I wanted to be able to bury him properly and it got dark very quickly the day he went. I also (and this sounds a bit mad) kind of felt he couldn't have gone and maybe I'd made a mistake. Obviously, I hadn't but you know what happens when you lose an animal.
Anyway, I buried him next to Cuthbert (another little mouse we lost about four or five years ago, although not spiny. He lived for much longer than you'd expect too.) so he wouldn't be lonely.

One year today, Nameva. Just wanted to acknowledge it - you had a big personality for such a little critter, just like Impuku.

Two years yesterday Mouskie. Hope you're happy where you are.

I'm sure Nameva, Cuthbert and Impuku are cuddled up with Jeremy and Eric, my funny little mousie boys who adored each other and played so very hard. Jeremy died in a mad escape attempt and poor Eric couldn't live without him and died two days later of a broken heart.
I too felt that they were still with me, that I must have made a mistake. In fact I felt them in my bed for months afterwards and often awoke convinced they were back and playing in the duvet (their favourite game).
JS, for you
:nite: boys, play nice together.
-
Impuku's still very much with me, Sheila. No idea how - apparently, the rescue these boys came from say he's the last left from a seize of 400....and he and Nameva were adult when I got them.
Thank you. I'm sorry for your losses too.
