Byron killing Da Birdy
-
ah, yes, enthusiastic play does that. My Da Birdy has retired to the underwear drawer until I have a large open space for them to play in ... :scared: It gets particularly interesting when 40odd kilos of dog joins in ... :scared: :scared:
-
Da Bird eh? Such fun for cats. Charlie carries his round in his mouth and hides it.
-
I just one of these for my boys for their Christmas - what a fab toy! It has to be best toy that I have ever bought them. Ollie just goes mad for it - jumping a few feet in the air. :Luv2:
-
Well Schui never plays now but even he had a little flick and Byron will flick a plastic bottle tag about occasionally but she really enjoyed it. She was hiding behind her pile of food she'd had bought and pouncing out at it ;D It was after reading that Desley's 18 yr old cat would play with it that I thought I'd give it a go :)

Mr T still considers Da Bird too scarey - as for Da Furree (cant remember its real name as we called it Da ferret and the name stuck) - its nearly shredded and lickd to bits. He ADORES it. When he isnt playing with it, hes about to play with it or just finished playing with it. :wow:
-
Glad she enjoyed it, she has very unusual markings.
No one but Kizzy has seen the new one I got them for Christmas yet - I bought all the attachments too, and she loves Da Mouse. The girls got catnip toys instead this year
-
It was lovely to see her happy playing I've given up on toys with them but I read your post and I thought I'd give it a go. Byron loves catnip but Schui doesn't bother, my sister's cat Thomas didn't like it either - I wonder whether it's mainly girls who tend to like it?
you'll have to let us know how they get on with new toys Desley, I will try Da Mouse next.

My Dragan (RIP) had really bad arthritis at the end of his life and I bought him a da Bird thinking he could just slap at it but no he went mental chasing it and then had to rest his legs for 3 days and was limping. felt really bad but yet glad he had enjoyed it

catnip sensitivity is thought to be genetically linked, rather than gender linked. I have had cats who walk straight past it, cats who adore it, cats who crush the plants in the garden from rolling on it but ignore the dried stuff, all sorts ...
-
What a beautiful girl :Luv2: Not bad for a pensioner eh? :)
-
thanks :)
Maddiesmum, Byron is very stiff too and we did wonder about her getting excited at 24 :scared: :evillaugh: but like you say she was so enjoying it I think that bit of play is good instead of sleeping all day.
It's interesting about the catnip BC, why some like it and different types they like :)

Will try my two with the other attachments, so far Kizzy is still the only one who has used it - mind you, she is the only one without a new catnip toy (dont trust her with catnip). I have had boys who went mental for catnip, I read once that it might have been colour linked.
