Title: New addition to my family
Post by: Simone on December 15, 2008, 11:41:49 AM
After my little Willow sadly went to the bridge last week at just 6 months old  :'( Skiba was really missing her so i have been thinking about getting a new friend for him. As i was about to contact a rescue my dad called me and said he was having to let his cat go as he's moving house and would i like to have her. I of course said yes and she came to live with us on Tuesday. She is a couple months older than Skiba, shes almost 8 months and shes a tortie. She is such a sweet girl, it only took 3 days for the two of them to become friends and shes settling in well.

Only things ive noticed about her is that she has an habit of licking my hands.. its so annoying lol as sweet as she is i would rather she didnt constantly lick everyone that pays her any attention hehe..  :innocent: and also she will sit in the sink and lick the tap even when its not running. She wont drink out of her bowl at all

Other than that she is lovely and its nice to see skiba playing again, hes just followed me around the house for the past week bless him!

Anyway i will try get some pics of her later.. oh and shes called Evelyn   :-: I wanted to change it but my dad named her after his mum so i dont think he'd be too pleased lol im sure i will get used to it though hehe ;D

One of my girls licks a lot, the rescue she came from said it could have been from being taken away from her mum too early, but they weren't sure. Its great that Skiba has a playmate again though!

I have had a couple of cats who have licked, not all the time but occasionally, not sure why but it does feel strange with the raspy tongue  :evillaugh:
I'm so pleased Skiba has a new friend though, I think that's lovey  :Luv:

I would call her Evie for short  ;D
You could get a fountain for her, she may give up the tap then but being a torti she probably wont  :evillaugh:
