The first domesticated cats were egyption, and most people tend to think that all our comesticatd cats started out there, but thanks to bredding etc colours were developed . There's quite a lot of information on wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_cats) and stuff, trust me, you could spnd hours reading up, lol.

Yep, Egypt still has street cats which is where pretty much all domestic cats originated.

A certain large, black cat descended from the top of the cupboard on to my shoulder this morning .... :rofl:  Ouch!!!
